So, how I see it is that each fan has their own AU. No, not like Underfell or Underswap, just one that's slightly different from the game. These AU's may contain the events of Headcanon, shipping, and the events of comics like Handplates and Green. We all see the Undertale world slightly differently, so we all have our own opinions on it's characters and whatnot. That's probably what results in these strange ships and what not.

I agree, it makes since. Could this also explain made up events in comic dubs...? I think it could. Oh! About Gaster... I actually have an AU that I am in the process of creating. It’s called Koratale, and follows my OC. Her name is Kora. Her parents are Betty(she’s different in my AU. None of the events from Glitchtale apply) and some random guy who nobody remembers. In my AU, Gaster is Sans’ father and disappeared when he was 12 and Pap was 6. Their mom’s name is Lucida and was killed by the child who is the SOUL of JUSTICE when he was 7(Papurus was 1). After that, Grillby took them in. When Kora falls, the skeleton brothers soon learn there is a lot more to her than meets the eye. Frisk never actually broke the barrier. They somehow got the monster SOUL they needed and made it to the surface a few years before Kora fell. So, Kora plans on finishing what Frisk started, breaking the barrier and setting the monsters free. Before she does this, she ends up in the void somehow and sets Gaster free. When the DO get to the surface, Frisk is kinda jealous. They are 19, while Kora is merely 11(she was in the Underground for a year). Why weren’t THEY the one to break the barrier?! That was THEIR job. Not some random little girl who wasn’t even supposed to be there in the first place! I won’t say anymore, but Chara decides to try and get involved. Flowey, too.
