Tfw you find out two days before an event that you're going and then you have 24 hours to come up with a cosplay

I've had to do that before.
well I found out like a day before a picnic but still
managed to do a closet cosplay of fem captain Mal from firefly

my next big projects are probably gonna be
Lapis Lazuli from steven universe

I'm still tracking down a shoes and a better sweater and glasses for my sadness cosplay (inside out)

but I actually have a cosplay picnic in like a couple weeks where I'm gonna be closet cosplaying as best as I can for Five from Dark Matter. I'm currently in the process of trying to track down a wig.

the sad thing is I might have to skip the one con I go to a year, becaus workload with study which makes me sad.

Woooo
found a wig for my five from dark matter cosplay.
reasonably cheap, and seller in my country, Sooo should get it in time for the picnic next week.
if I have time to sharpie dye in the blue highlights is another question entirely.

Need to track down

Blazer and tie for Fem Honey (OHSHC)
Sweater, shoes and glasses for Sadness (Inside out)
Shoes for Five (Dark Matter)

and I'm probably not gonna worry about Lapis this year, between work and study I probably won't have the time.

I prefer to make my own pieces
there is just this proud feeling when you finally finish a massive project
I just can't do that this year because I'm studying and the one con I go to is in that time

I tend to try and make my own cosplays as well (I pretend like it saves me money, though I probably spend as much in fabric as I would on just buying the costume, lol). On the upside though, they tend to fit better, and it's really satisfying. I recommend just getting some more practice, Lolitaa, look up some tutorials and such on different sewing patterns and techniques, they can be really helpful c:

My roommate and I are making duct tape dress forms today so we can get started on putting together our Fullmetal cosplays for our next con (which I've just realized is coming up super fast, oh geez). I'm super excited about not having to worry about stabbing myself with pins anymore, haha, this'll be great.
