ahh it's been so long since I've actually had the time to do some digital drawing that's not for school.
and now my wrist aches but I am determined to finish at least 3 drawings today, along with speedpaint videos of them.
Speaking of which, does anyone else here record their drawings and put them on youtube? I'm not sure if I'm allowed to ask for something like that, but I'd love to see others speedpaint drawings.
Just please don't share your youtube channel if you have any sort of personal info on there or anything. You can also PM me your link if it would be considered spam here, I read trough the rules and didn't see anything about this sort of stuff, but who knows. I've been out of the loop for a good while.

welcome! I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "outlining without a curve tool" but I'd be glad to help if I knew (*v*)b I don't usually draw line arts (unless it's a very detailed drawing) but I can still help if it's regarding line arts.
And just out of curiosity, do you use a mouse to draw or a pen tablet? //because that's probably what you mean by the curve tool??? idk ;v;
Like what I mean is you know how on SAI when you go to the linework layer you can use the curve tool to outline? Thats what I'm talking about but I switched programs (I now use FireAlpaca since I'm on a mac and SAI download for mac doesn't support pen pressure) and I'm looking for tips on how to outline using just my hand instead of a tool ^^
I use a pen tablet, intuos to be exact

ohhhh I see I see (*0*)
I have a Wacom Intuos Small so it should be easy to explain (*v*)b
Basically a line art is a clean version of your sketch. I have a gif showing the steps in one of my drawings here: http://sta.sh/04f880qmvdf
As shown, the first frame/picture is a sketch and it's really messy. To make a line art, just add a normal layer above the sketch layer, there's really no need for a linework layer (*v*)b (I thought it was specifically made for line arts but really a normal layer is a lot easier to work with for a lot of artists, including me). Then it's just a matter of tracing your sketch and picking out which lines you want and which ones you don't. Some artists have several line art layers, meaning they draw the sketch, then they trace over it, and then over that one, and over that one, etc... until they have a satisfying outcome of their line art.
In general, line arting is only a matter of tracing (for me) and it cleans up the sketch (*v*)b I usually don't line most of my drawings because it takes a lot of time, so I only line art for detailed drawings or for really messy sketches where you can't even tell what's going on.
Hope that helped ;v;

I recently started making speed paints and so far I've only made one ;7; But the program I use is pretty good so I'll probably make more in the future (*v*)b

Ahh thank you so much! This really did help me! ^u^
While I still have you, do you have any tips on hand structure and finger posing/structure? I'm about to order a poseable wooden hand but I'm also looking for tips so that I can practice while it's in the mail ^^
Again, thank you! Your tips are helping me out a lot!

If you struggle with lining, I highly recommend just cleaning up your sketches. By that I don't mean tracing over your sketch as usual-- I mean actually cleaning up the sketch through erasing unwanted parts and refining desired lines.
Lining has never been my strong point in art, so I almost always just use a refined version of my sketch as my lines. This is a bit old, but I have a process video of one of my drawings that shows my cleanup stage
hereAlso, I have a large tutorial masterpost in my signature that includes human hand references, if that helps

Thanks for the tip! But what I mean by struggling with lining is that I cant seem to draw straight outlines, as in I have to break the outline into seperate parts, making it look like a sketch instead of an outline.
I feel like I should have made that clearer, sorry! And I'll check that tutorial out, thanks!

@Moshe-Mouse
That's what I mean when I say I struggle with lining-- I can't do consistent, even lines ahhh lD
Cleaning up sketches works for me then since I can be as choppy as I want for the lines, but still get a nice, clean look in the end
I'm sure you'll get the hang of whatever you decide to do, though. It'll take some practice, but it'll get easier :3

@reydient
The second outfit looks amazing!
The first one looks a teeny bit plain though (Possibly a hair accessory would be nice?)
Would like some critique on this:

Mainly the wolf head thingy itself, not so much the animation I guess. ^^;

It looks wonderful! The only suggestion I have is to make the pink in the ears a bit darker and maybe add more shape to the bottom of the snout so it doesnt look so stiff <3
