Raire, there is a way to get the evolution of Eevee you want. It has to do with specific nicknames. I put Pyro as the nickname for the Eevee I evolved, ane I got the Flareon that I wanted. If you look it up online, it will tell you more. The only other thing that I know about is that the nickname trick only happens once.

You can also kind of see what the eevee will evolve into depending on the move that it knows! I think dig is flareon, Swift is vaporeon, and body slam is jolteon typically (it’d be best to look this up online though!)

You can also get umbreon and espeon with the names or walking an eevee 10km and evolving it during the day (espeon) or night (umbreon). I currently have three umbreons because I’ve been trying for a higher level

The move theory is false. The three eeveelutions seem to be random. As for the day/night thing, I have not yet had the chance to try it but I've been saving up eevee candies lately so maybe some day.

Yes once you used it, it never works again... which is why I said that.
I've been playing since the release so all name tricks have been used already - the only ones can get for sure are Umbreon and Espeon since it works with day/night.

With "new chance" I actually meant another chance for all users who used the name trick already.

Ah, thanks for clearing that up. One would think that the game would have the fire/thunder/water stones since the game does have pokemon that does evolve with a certain items along with the proper amount of candies.

The new friend codes and gifting system is super cool, I added some people off of Tumblr and now I have an egg from like Wisconsin or someplace I forget but it's super cool ;w;
I'm really far behind CP wise, my butt gets kicked easily in battles... That's why I like teaming up in raids better ;w;

The highest cp wise is 1,400 and something, and that is my Snorlax. He got his butt kicked after defending a gym I put him at, though he did get one victory before that happened. I would have put Jhalavar, which is my Articuno, but he is traveling as my current buddy.
After I get to 20km, I am going to switch back to one of my Natus. I nickname my pokemon some weird names. On the plus side, I finally caught myself a Xatu, and got enough Natu candies to evolve one of my other Natus. Was going to the bedroom to get some sleep when the Xatu just appeared in the hallway. Those incense helped big time.
When some of my friends found out we can finally trade, we were swaping friend codes.
