How many Squirtles did y'all manage to catch? I only got like 4 or 5 cause I'm stuck at home.
Buuuuttt! One of those 4 or 5 was a shiny! It's my second ever shiny! Woo!

none spawned for me all day and I spent about 2 hours travelling trough the city and a good 5 hours at home

the special event was only 3hrs though

I got close to 275 caught today i think (pokedex says Ive caught 312 total, I know that number was under 50 when i started but forgot to check and see what it was!) .. when i started evolving I had over 950 candies (i only fully evolved 4 to blastoise & still have 649 candies left )

highlights of the day include my first ever 100IV pokemon!! and it was a squirtle with sunglasses too!

i walked away with 14 shinies, 4 of those had sunglasses & a total of 40 sunglass squirtle (including the 4 shiny)

I hatched a TON of eggs (including 2 pichu w/hats) & snagged a 2nd regice

a discord group met up and i traded and got a 2nd kyogre & a lunatone (we did the time zone cheat for that so it was my special trade for tomorrow too)

overall an excellent day

I dont believe it costs any extra as long as you have a regular squirtle

I’ve got many, but it was greyed out on my friend’s side when they tried to trade it to me.

My friend was able to trade it to me. Though it cost a but more since I believe it's a special trade. Maybe your friend had it favorited or something.

was it shiny perhaps? or they had it favorited or not enough stardust to complete the trade - or are you at least good friends on the game? (traded once or exchanged and opened a gift?

It was not shiny, and we are on the ‘Great Friends’ level. I think they may have had it favorited!!
