by the way I was following a profile on youtube who had all the Inuyasha episodes of all seasons but she/he had to turn them into private what was really annoying. IT IS ALWAYS THE SAME THING WITH ANIME AND MOVIES ON YOUTUBE!!

It's annoying, but I can see why the animators of this stuff don't want it out for free on the web, and it's probably because of copyright that they made it private. Thousands of dollars go into making anime, and when people just watch it for free, the money doesn't come back to the companies. They don't get their money, they stop making shows because it's not longer worth it. On one hand, it advertises the show so more people know about it and want to buy it, on the other hand, many people have no desire to buy the series because they can watch it for free. It really is quite a conundrum.

Nothing is actually legal though unless 1) it is your own personal work, or 2) you ask the owners of the work directly if you can use their material. Although most people use the disclaimer 'This work belongs to... and I do not own it in any way...' it's actually still pirating which is illegal, and the disclaimer really does nothing to help that.
Sorry if I sound like I'm lecturing. XD My school teachers have just drilled this into me over and over again over the years. Just because I say this doesn't mean I'm really any less at fault (because I love making AMVs and of course those would technically be 'illegal') I'll stop now... >.<
