Poor little boys. ;C Do you have a rat proof room? Or one you can make rat proof? You can let them run around while you study, work, etc.

Unfortunatly, no. :c
I mean, the bathroom looks pretty rat-proof. But I dont think my mom would like the idea of me letting the rats run around the bathroom. .-.
Though, Ill probably find a big box or whatever to let them run around in. My mom works at a school and talks to the janitors/whatever a lot, so Ill be able to get ahold of one most likely.

Any ideas on household items that they could play with?

A box would be good, but they might chew through it.

Toilet paper rolls are pretty fun. Just make sure they don't get stuck in it or something. Washcloths. A family friend's rats loved to play with washcloths. xD Silly boys. Just make sure the washcloth can't get stuck in the ratties' claws. And also if you have some toys they can climb on. Make sure it's not too small so they can't try and eat it. A deepish box or something like it filled with bedding and a few treats scattered in it make a fun burrowing game. :3

I think Aphrodite had a stroke. She'd been in the same place all, just laying there. I offered her some fresh Ensure, which she gulped down. I picked her up and set her down on the bed and she fell over every time she tried to stand. Her left eye is squinted and she always falls to the left. \: She's looking better, we got some water in her with a syringe, as well as some very watered down mashed potatoes which at least have some calories... I hope she's okay. She's only 3 or so...

Can't you take her to a vet? A steroid injection could really help her.

Now my rats tongue is sticking out of the side of her mouth. Is she trying to swallow or what? She's got an infected bite on her belly too. Would that have anything to do with it?

Sad news, guys. We had Tucker put to sleep the other day. :C I'll give you the story, but don't call me an abuser or whatever, because I'm not. ><
He had a large tumor on his neck. I wanted to get it removed, so we took him to the vet to see how much it would cost. Vet said $1,000.... He was around 3 and a half so getting the tumor removed could be dangerous, and he didn't have much time left anyway - he was a rescue with a variety of other health problems. He could still function just fine with the tumor and seemed happy enough, though, so we didn't put him to sleep yet.
He got spoiled rotten for the last month of his life. Then his tumor grew to large for him to eat without being handed the food, so I made the heartbreaking decision to have him put down. D: It was really sad for me, especially since he left his brother Muffin behind.
I can't get another rat to keep Muffin company, because I'm not planning on getting any more rats for I don't have a ton of time now with school, horseback riding, and working at the barn all the time. What can I do to keep him happy and healthy?

I'm so sorry, Hano! ): I had to get another pair, but no more after they're gone, sadly. I don't have much time anymore, either. I don't know what you could do... maybe a mirror or stuffed toy?

Sorry to double post, but Aphrodite's with her sister now. I had her put down today and they were so sweet. They even gave me a little clay thing of her pawprints....
