@Akami-chan
i know how to use it,i just think it sux lmao,i hate it mainly cause of its brush settings. realism/painting work are definitely the thing to do in it,not cartoon or lined work.
its good for gradients & thats abt it to me!
& if you really do want it,and a newer copy than cs2,you can sometimes buy them on like ebay. honestly the whole subscription thing was the WORST thing adobe could do. of course theyd still be SOOO pricey but

@Shikigo
if you spill something on your tablet,like water idk abt juice or soda,putting it in a bag of dry rice sometimes saves it!! ive dropped my pen in water a lot & it fixes it in like 3 days max. that doesnt mean you should go around throwing pens in water tho,please PLEASE take of your workspace and only use resealable containers. not only bc tablets are very finicky if spilled on,theyre expensive and so is your computer! ive had so much water spill on my stuff & make me cry haha

@doetails Im not that stupid but my brother would probably do stuff like that. Not saying that you are calling me stupid :3 but what you said about crying and water this quote came to me. "I dropped my iPad in the bath and only cried for about 20 minutes." ~Markiplier

Bamboo wacom is a dicontinued line the intuos line was changed to replace it. (It used to be mid-range so better than bamboo but worse than the proffesional level cintiq) I have a bamboo pen, so the main difference is that there's no double ended pen and mine is black. It works fine for me and very easy to use and set up!

The only pen tablet I have is the Wacom Intuos Pen and touch... though I might have downloaded the wrong thing online and I didn't get the touch part... But it still works amazingly! However, the tablet sometimes glitches when I suddenly stop using it and does what it wants but it rarely happens now. There hasn't been any crashes nor big problems and it was recommended by two of my art friends at school.

    I have a bamboo and am beyond content with it. Not only is it cheap, but it's the perfect starter tablet for non-professional use*. It worked faultlessly for 3 years, when the power cord 'broke'. The only consequence of that is that I can no longer support my tablet on a soft surface (like my couch), but always have to use it at my desk. This obviously isn't a big issue to me.

    The pen is great as well, and the nibs last forever. One nib can easily go for a year or two!

    *if you are planning on working digitally professionally, this is not the tablet for you (due to it's size). You'll likely get injuries if you use the Bamboo for more than 4/5 hours daily (for weeks/months).

i actually use a wacom bamboo! this one to be exact, the same one as @doetails

its kind of small, the draw-able area is only 7 and 1/2 by 6 inches. but it's lasted me oh....i dont know maybe three or four years? it was my first tablet and it still works even though i had some trouble with the cord at some point! i love it to pieces but i think i need a bigger one since i draw very often and i dont want to strain my hand drawing in a cramped space

Hi guys! c: I'm feeling sort of I-don't-know and self-conscious of the design of my science fiction creatures, they're a little sparklecat so I'm not sure to rework some parts of the design or if my perfectionism is nagging me again.

Any critique on the characters or the artwork would be super amazing and appreciated!! Don't be shy, your comments won't offend me if they are constructive and respectful in nature! c:

The color around them is some sort of energy that's like flame in movement and liquid in texture. :'D

The flame-energy is brilliant, especially the green. Only critique is to make it a bit clearer, and to maybe push the lighting. It's a bit hard to tell what's going on - specifically where the energy and creatures begin and end. I'm not clear on what the form in the background is either. Brilliant designs, and the poses aren't bad, they just need to read clearer. ^^

As for the lighting you've got all this flaming energy dancing around, and you can really punch up the lighting and color bouncing off the characters to accentuate this and add drama. Darken the shadows, and add contrast to the areas you want to bring attention to. The faces for example - you can draw interest there by having dark shadows next to highlights. So say - the back of the ear or under the eye is in shadow, but the edges of the ear and the lower eyelid are maybe catching light. It's important to keep your light source in mind, but since fire id constantly changing and isn't really a steady light source, there's a lot you can play around with.

But it's lovely overall. Nice choice of color. ^^

@solardaemon ;; I would definitely advise to up the contrast and maybe add some illumination to the faces and increase the shading for deeper darks and brighter brights, if that makes sense ! I really dig the whole concept of the liquid-like energy. I really enjoy the picture as a whole !

I made a rather large picture to celebrate my ending hiatus from digital art and pleasantly, i must say that I'm extremely surprised and proud of my improvement !!
