Problem is I can't get past the first instruction it's either really unclear or I just really suck at understanding. /The adjustment I made isn't the problem here as it's on a different piece of material.
And whenever I try again I get mad at it. it just doesn'T WORK what do you do

The next con is next weekend and the last one I'd attend until about April next year. I won't get it done by the 17th. But I don't care anymore about making it before then.
But what do you do. I would love to get into making more cosplay uknow but

Don't/really/ know anyone who could help out.
Yes I could buy the costume but at this point of time I'd much rather get sewing experience and get creative than spend a good $100 on one and not learn a thing tbh...
problems problems
Okay that is a rant thing sorry it needs to get out but I have actual questions. ' v '
Back to swords, what would be the most preferred way to make them? The sword I'd like to make is kinda thin and narrow.
Many people mention expanding foam or something, or those foam mats (unsure of name) but I imagine them being really flimsy and I don't get how that'd be any good for a prop ? ' v '

The best thing is to wash it with wig shampoo or with a very gentle shampoo like maybe baby shampoo and comb through it with your fingers while you shampoo it
Then you hang it up somewhere and let it air dry, dont use a towel or anything just let all the water drip down, and then you get a very wide toothed comb (like honestly the widest you can find or else it will pull the hair our of the wog) and then you comb it in sections
But if it was a really cheap wig then the water and shampoo could mess up the fibres :/
I've used this method before
The thing is it'll never really go back to looking like new if it's very badly tangled. But if the tangles are moderate it should come out looking okay again
Ok thanks for the advice and if I remember correctly it cost about £12 so it should be ok to wash then right?
It's questionable really, depending on the quality of the wig. For 12 pounds though I'd give it a go, a really gentle and light wash, there's not much to lose tbh. But then again, only wash it if you really need to I guess.
