I finally got my first book, Solitary Wiccan For Life by Arin Murphy-Hiscock, A high priestess with the Black forest clan (her coven) in Quebec, Canada. I will soon make my shadow book and cast a simple circle in witch I will meditate come February first while Lady Brigid (the first triple goddess) makes her rounds blessing ribbons on peoples doors as she goes to her Imbolc night feast.

I have some questions. I am very new to this so hopefully someone can answer them for me. A BIG thank you if you can.

1. how do I find other wiccans in my area?
2. what are some of the basic things I should be doing?
3. what things do I have to have for some of the things I will do?
4. how often do you meditate? (certain times, days of the month...etc)
5. any general info/personal input would be good.

2. try getting a few books, there is one author who writes complete bull-pucky I say start with Solitary Wiccan For Life by Arin Murphy-Hiscock, I'm reading it and it is very helpful.
3. make a shadowbook, you should try making a circle and special place as well, on February first is the next holiday, it is Imbolc when Lady Brigid (the first triple goddess) makes her rounds blessing ribbons on peoples doors as she goes to her night feast.
4. Umm...I don't have that knowledge as I to am new...and poor so can't get all the oils for cleansing items and places.

I'm not even Wiccan anymore, but I meditate daily, weekdays and weekends. Usually around 5:30am to 6:00am before school, and after from 4:00pm to 4:30pm. I helps when I'm practicing swordsmanship to have a calmed mind and a steady pulse. Even if you're not Wiccan, it's really a calming thing to do.

A shadow book is like a jornal, you write whats spells you did (phase of moon, your health, weather, etc...), write poems, etc...It will explain everything you need in that book -a copy of 'that book' is sitting in my lap from the public library XD - so umm, I wish you well, G2G.
