Favorite dog: I have quite a few though I adore them all; Siberian husky, Rottweiler, Doberman, and German Shepherds.
What you think about Dog fighting/abuse: I am a very big animal person and I am against animal abuse of any kind. Last year around New Years I saved 2 kittens from an abusive home and both doing great now and have gotten much bigger. I use to watch Animal Planet all the time and the one show they had(they might still have it) where a special force would go out, like the police but for animals, and would take care of people who were abusing their pets. I remember one episode where a group of people had been called on and when the cops got there... It was so sad. Especially what the one group did to ensure their dogs would win in the fights. It's ignorant, it's wrong, and it needs to stop! If you can't show them love you don't deserve them!
How much do you love dogs and against Dog fighting (1-10 (1-I hate them, 10-Love them to Death and beyond)): Too much love for a scale too possibly measure. ~<3
Any thing you like to say?: I have a few stories of some dogs a friend of mine and myself have owned;
I have a very good friend who had 2 Pittbulls and she loved them to death! They were her big babies and did everything she told them to do. They were big and all muscle but complete sweethearts unless she got with a dude that they didn't like. Seriously it's like they chose her boyfriends for her. But she sadly had to let them go because she had to move and couldn't find anyone who could care for them til she was able to find a place that would allow them both. We don't know where they are or who they're with now. They were both brothers and she bawled when we talked about them last, I felt so bad for asking how they were... I didn't know at the time she had to let them go. She told me, "Of everything I have going on right now that's been the hardest! I didn't want to have to send them away I shouldn't of had to. I don't even know who they're with anymore." Her big babies she'd had them since they were pups and they were around 4 years when she had to let them go.
Also when I was younger my dad told me if we ever got a dog we'd either have a German Shepherd or a Lab. My dad said the reason he trusted German Shepherds is because they're great dogs and he had one growing up and it always took care of him and his siblings. He had that dog til it passed away in it's sleep he said. My mother I think had one also.
We have a black lab mix now that my mom got from a lady at her previous job who had saved it from the almost getting run over while she was out with her husband. We've no idea what the other half of her is but she's short and... well, everything else about her is pretty much the lab! But we love her so much. She's a hyper little mutt who won't leave you alone til she either passes on the couch or in bed next to you or has her fill of being rubbed and played with. She's curled up on the couch right now as I'm typing this actually. :3
I've loved Rottweilers since I was a child and I once had a chocolate lab/doberman mix and her name was Cocoa and she was the sweetest thing too. She'd sleep with me in bed go with us everywhere. But my got a bit irate at the fact that she was almost a year old and she still wasn't housebroken and the previous owner that my dad had gotten her from while delivering propane hadn't been training her properly. Poor Cocoa was petrified of a mop and broom and ran and hid with her tail between her legs every time we went to clean the house. We wouldn't see her come out for at least an hour or more after that.
I also have a friend who absolutely loves her Husky/Wolf mix. Someone put her beautiful dog once and called him names and she was not happy. I'm pretty sure he's all white with blue eyes but his fur has really grown out by now if I go by her recent pics of him since he's gotten older.
I consider Rottweilers and Dobermans among some of the best guard dogs ever. I would love to own a Rottweiler right now if I could but my mother is so afraid of them and my best friends uncle recently paid $600 for a female dobberman and named her Candy. :3 I met a woman in the PetsMart not far from where I live awhile back who had a Rottweiler, but she called him a 'German Rottweiler'. Now I'm still not sure what she meant to this day but he was huge!!! I don't mean like big huge like most Rottweilers I had seen, this guy could have been on his hind legs and gone over my head and squashed me! And need mind you I'm not that short, I stand 5'10 so that's a little scary. I was with my sister at the time and she got scared once she saw him and he had seen us so we turned to leave and his owner said, "Oh you gotta come back he's done seen ya!" So we did and he just laid there and watched us. She said his name was Zues and she left me pet him. What did he do? Just laid there and panted. This giant Rotti just laid there, not a care in the world. Not even a nip from him towards me, not a growl, not a bark, nothing. Maybe he was mixed with something else and the lady just chose not to mention it. *shrug*
But I'm dragging this post on and on, I should stop.
