Funnily enough it took me forever to find Rattata. I caught a few 'rare' ones before I even saw a Rattata for the first time.
Still find Pidgey's everywhere though. That's definitely no different.

The whole point of pokemon go is to travel so I wouldn't be surprised if you had to travel to other countries to get certain pokemon.
as far as trading it will be released in the future- but I'm sure again you would have to meet someone in person to trade pokemon. Otherwise if you could trade and get every pokemon from your house from trading the game would be useless.

i have pokemon go i got it yesterday and i have 8 yay i almost got gastly

but i got a full evolved bird

I just started today and bought some rarer Pokemon I'm really happy about. It just released where I live this week but I haven't been a diehard Pokemon fan since I was young so I wasn't sure I wanted to play. I decided to go for it and spent an hour walking around downtown today and came out with an Abra, Eevee, Tauros, and Magnemite that I'm happy about finding in one day as well as other more common ones
