I've been absent form the mako world for a couple weeks;
thus, a new guy to get me back into the throes of makoes.

Thinking about going with Quartz as the name, to match up with Blitz.

I would think not.

Shark-dogs are a 'common' species that's made all through-out the interwebs. Makos are, if you were grouping them by scientific means, a separate sub-species that has unique characteristics.
/the need for rings, the horns, the dragon-dog-shark hybrid, ect./

Makos are a species, but they're not an open species such as shark dogs.

I assume you're allowed to make a shark dog if you'd like, but you can't call it a Mako.

I never said you could not make a sharkdog. Flee, go make one. Go make a sharkdog.
They will not be able to participate in Mako events and you cannot call them Makos/Makoatls. You will not be able to use them on the site when it goes up and you cannot post them here. Period. I will not color them for you nor will the staff let you use the lines.

Talon said sharkdog, not mako. I think she means you can make a shark x dog hybrid, and that'll be ok, just not a mako. I. E. Say you make a dog with a shark tail. Ok, fine. But, if you make a dog with a shark tail, horns, spots, and a mane (all the qualities makos have) and called it a mako, it wouldn't be fine.
