okay so like a week ago i got a wacom manga to replace my wacom capture and oooh my god... their new line of tablets is SO nice. affordable, free programs that are $30 and $50 each (i think,) AND its amazingly smooth to draw with.
i dont know if its just a placebo effect since i hated my old one so much, but its amazing. i can actually do nice lineart now omg.

their new tablets are absolutely fantastic!

also, im streaming a commission. watch me draw if you like :)

if you already critiqued the people above you but want to post more art then what do you do? ._.

also, i think if you guys want a rule change, you need to PM draca. this is getting a bit spammy

If you've already critiqued the people above you, then you've already critiqued them and don't need to critique them again. Unless anyone new has posted, then you need to critique them.

And we don't want a new rule, the rule is already in place that says you must critique. It's a given that if you don't you shouldn't get help yourself

I'm no pro tip giver/manga studio expert but....
I use a lapazz, so I don't know if you get buttons and stuff, but here are the ones that I use for mange studio:
Undo = ctrl + Z
Redo = ctrl + Y
Zoom in = ctrl + Pad '+'
Zoom out = ctrl + Pad '-'
Erase = E
Brush(pen) = P
Those are just the short cuts, in manga studio it gives you 3D models/background ect., to get them simply press the << arrows which are located next to the >> arrows above the navigator. If you like having a grid just go to view > Grid or if you need a smaller grid just click grid setting easy-peasy. For pixel art, which if you're not good at it(like me) once you finish drawing your picture go to Filter > Effect > Mosaic, looks better if you shade. As you start using it you'll begin to find 'secrets' to help you. Good luck, hope you enjoy you're new software! (:

I have an Intuos as well, it's great c:
I haven't used Manga Studio, but if you are looking for tips on using a new tablet, what I did was create a free sketch thread where people could post their characters for me to draw. Lots of quick practice helps you to improve without having to worry about the results, as receivers are always happy since the service you are providing is free. You will also notice your quality improving with each sketch, I found it really helped me get a hang of drawing with a tablet.

Thank you for the advice on using the tablet, it is my first (of many, I hope). Creating a free sketch thread sounds like a great idea, I think I may try that one out, especially as I have have lacked inspiration to draw anything from my own mind, as this will give me pre-made characters to work with.

Thank you very much. I was unaware of how to access the 3D models, so that has been a great help. As for setting shortcuts I may need to pull out my instruction manual. Pixel art is something I have also never attempted before, but I will be willing to give it a try thanks to your advice.

Thank you, I actually have FireAlpaca already. It just lacks variation in brush etc. for my liking.

Yea, its very basic but good if you just want to doodle or something.
the Lines are smooth for a free program :] also, the tilting of the canvas has saved me many times.
