Their bite is "dirty" in a sense- it's full of bacteria, which can cause an infection in the blood if it is not treated promptly. From my understanding, a mob will have one member bite the prey, then chase it down for up to a week while the prey is weakened and eventually dies from infection.

Isn't the saliva thick and tar-like too? Or am I misremembering?

I've lived in this state for 6 months and I was not aware there were tornadoes in this area until a tornado siren went off across my campus earlier, so I'm going with the non-stressful art of litter making for now, customs later perhaps.
