I'm tempted to get ready and drive to the downtown just to play, but I don't have anyone to go with me, and I feel like it's socially unacceptable to do that

Socially unacceptable to drive downtown to play Pokemon Go? I really highly doubt that. What makes you feel that way?

Just reached level 20 and failed my first raid YEAH THAT'S BECAUSE YOUR HIGHEST CP IS 1200 The parks here are sometimes unpopulated by Pokemon Go players so I'll need to go to Dorney Park or something like that. Well anyways I evolved my Eevee. I really wanted an Umbreon but I got a Jolteon instead. Not bad, it's CP is in the 1000s but I'd prefer an Umbreon, Espeon, or Vaporeon as I don't have those.

Have you tried the name tricks? They 100% work the first time!
For my Umbreon, I named my Eevee "Tamao" and it worked! It's way easier to use the names than to leave it to chance if you really want one. To evolve an eevee to Espeon, name your eevee "Sakura" and for a Vaporeon, name it "Rainer"

I feel that way too sometimes, but if it's something that makes you happy, then go for it! Maybe it would make you feel better if you tried to do it while with a dog? I'm sure that a friend wouldn't mind you watching them, right?




There was a raid near my house that was a tier three charizard and I got there late but still got two battles in but lost DX

I still need one and have been trying really hard to get one since the game came out, and I feel like the raid battles would help a bunch, but people just aren't playing it anymore? I can guarantee that if there were at least one more person fighting, we would have won. Is anyone else having this problem?

Definitely.
Anything above tier2 is pretty much pointless to attempt since theres just not enough active players around. So if you can't take something down by yourself, then trying is just a waste of revives/potions here.

Not to mention the game is better in a group and at this point, who are you going to find walking around actually playing Pokemon Go? Man, last year was fun for sure.

Successfully completed my first raid! It was a tier 2 with a muk. Almost ran out of time though 😅

It was a Pokémon I didn't have so I luckily caught it! New addition to the pokedex ;)

I also got a few items; rare candy and 4x golden raspberries

What they need are adjusting raids. I.E.- if you're a single player and you challenge a level three or higher, it'll scale down to be hard but not impossible to beat. I know they're supposed to make it so more people play together and a lot did want a more involved multiplayer option, but for rural players or players who may not play in large groups, it's difficult and can be impossible. It seems this game just doesnt like rural players or rural play in general, despite saying we could 'find Pokémon in the wild' and had all those scenic videos with people catching charizards out in the middle of nowehere. X,D

But yeah, I've had to skip a few nice raids due to the difficulty and lack of other players.

tried my first raid yesterday, a 3 star, and someone actually came to help!! we both got it
it was a flareon though, and weaker than my strongest one hgfjkgh
but yeeeeeeeee rare candies and xp

also in my case, gyms are really hard to keep and so it's trickier to get coins now? since i'm instinct and most of my town seems to be mystic or valor, instinct gyms get taken down quickly and berries don't do a lot of healing ;; especially since it seems to be 1 coin every 10 minutes?

You seem to get the same amount of experience and chance for special items whether you complete a level 1 raid or a level 4.. so if you don't need the pokemon, just do a raid that you can complete alone if you need to use your free pass and there's nobody around to help

also, join Facebook or discord groups for your area and there seems to be people planning for level 3 or 4 raids in most cities.. I am in several fb groups for the towns I travel to and there is raid coordinating pretty much every day
