I just wanted critique on my WIP entry for the newest mare. SOmehow, I ended up dumping multiple drawings into the scanner...


^Top I had in mind that scene from Spirit when he's standing in the night and watches a shooting star go by. The head-shots are self-explanatory.


At the top is a tiny equid who is Aislinn. I actually really like it and hope to digitize it one day and offer color ins. Very happy with that little one. (the other two are my plegon and cerquine)

^sketches for the newest mare I did at school. I first wanted her running through the forest but what bothered me is thats not very original.

^This is what I sketched tonight for the new mare. SHe's doing an exaggerated foxtrot, dancing to the music in her head. (ref) WHy that? I wanted something original; the name I've chose for her translates as Forest Dance; one of my favorite horse breeds is the Missouri Foxtrotters and the Foxtrot is a dance from the twenties or something like that! I feel so clever, haha
(Yes, there is a confused mountain lion watching her)

Anyway, any critique you guys can offer on the last image?

Just finished the 13 pages of Equid sled chat and I'm still confused!
Hmmm, I may have to sit out fir this activity but I'll still maybe draw my Equuds in sleds for Christmas if that's okay... Just for fun...

And Lenur, those look great! Just on the last one.. Maybe change the head? It's a little too far away from the body and the tail looks a little sharp angled. C:

I'll definitely work with the head but as far as the tail goes I don't know. It did stick out to me but I sorta like how its a bit cartoonish... I might see what the general consensus is on that one.

Since I have pretty much given up on ever owning one of these guys.. Got one more I tried for we will see *hopeful* but I sadly can't keep trying and trying and trying, wish I could lol... But anyway that being said. I don't own an equid but I would like to try drawing some some time. Would anyone be Interested? It would be a bit before I got around to it so don't hold me to this XD but time willing I would like to try ^^ for art examples I do have a closed art shop floating around. Don't want to post the link here since its not related ^^

Ok I will look into that ^^ looks like that's what I'll have to do XD I'm really not trying to be a complainer <3 it's just that I'm often strapped for time and can't do as much as I would like and it hinders me a bit lol. But sure I can try drawing her ^^ I have a contest picture to do first then I will get on that <3

Since no one seems to think I've actually tried to earn a WME I attempted an art one again, which makes me extremely uncomfortable and anxious.

I don't love it, but I know that I tried my hardest. I'm simply not good at equines

Something seems off with mine and I have no idea how to fix it now ...not sure I'm happy with it, but it will have to do *sighs*

The body shape is really nice. the ears could be longer, you shoulod tweak the hoof shape a bit. and the face shape alittle bit. hope that helps. maybe add alittle bit of the muscle contour
