I'm really enjoying all the costumes this year! I feel like there are some really creative ones - who's seen the Iron Man hamster, or the pineapple sitting cat? And the bees this year, too! It's so exciting!

Iron Man Ham and the Pinapple Sitting Cat have visited me this year! I love the creativity in all the costumes this year, there are a lot of good ones! Its amazing to see how much hard work someone will put into their costumes. Like that Iron Man costume for example. That must've taken ages!

A burly dog answered the door and grinned when he saw the costumed trick-or-treater standing on his doorstep. "Well, hello there, my friend! Han Solo welcomes you. Nice costume you got! I do think that deserves of a treat." He fills the bag with some goodies!

Ahhh I feel dumb. I've been using this small story to put into trade messages for treats, and I forgot to change the species every time, so it originally said "grinned when he saw the butterfly wolf standing on his doorstep" instead of the actual species. I just now changed it to "costumed trick-or-treater" for simplicity. Apologies to anyone who was confused by that if you received a treat from me, haha. A good reminder for myself to check over my story before I send it.

I have used 2 this year. As I hadn't made a story to go with my greeter costume this year when I got my first few treaters so reused galinda from last year:


The door opened and a pup dressed up as galinda from wicked answered "it's good to see me isnt it! Oh that is the most wonderodious costume I have ever seen! Here you go" she dropped some candy into their bag "Happy halloween!" Then she did a dramatic twirl and closes the door


This is my current story greeter but I customise it a bit depending on the trick or treater like a pet dressed as a witch my witch will assume she is also a real witch and not a costume so I love your costume becomes ah I see you are a fellow witch. And other small changes:


A young woman who appeared to be a witch opened the door. She had an apron stained with chocolate and her hair was a mess under her hat and her house smelt of freshly baked pies. "Hello dearie happy Halloween. I love your costume I bet it took you a long time to make. Here you go take a bag" she said pointing to a pile of little bags of sweets by the door. "Stay safe my dear" she said with a smile "oh and close the door on your way out!" she turned back to the pot on the fire which was bubbling over she whispered something and it seemed to stopped bubbling. She nodded to herself and turned back and shoo'ed the youngster out the door with a wave of her paw and went back to muttering what sound like incantations


I also do a thanks for the treat message from my pup which also changes if the gifter has a treat message to make it a reply to their greeter story:

Pet's name: Daphne Blake
"Jinkies! Thank you so much! Happy halloween" Sarah said smiling "this is such a great treat my brother will be so jealous" then she turned around and ran down the street to the next house.

So I sometimes give out "Themed" gifts as treats, and its more often then not color based, and everyone has been like "Wow thats my favorite color!" And I'm starting to think some of yall lying to me ahah

To add a twist, I included a question at the end of my Greeters story. If the ToT gets the question right, I give them an extra treat. So far no ones managed to get it right, but it might be due to the physical appearance of my greeter T.T

This was definitely going to be the best Halloween ever. Guy's whiskers twitched in happy anticipation as he admired his new costume.

It's the perfect costume for me, he thought, running an appreciative paw over the sleek grey fins and sharp white teeth. After all, the only thing with a more voracious appetite than himself, was... a shark!

"I'm a candy-eating machine," Guy chortled, slipping the mask over his face. "I'm an apex candy-predator, evolved over millions of years into a perfect engine of total candy destruction!"

As he slipped out into the night, slinking through the foggy streets like a shark swimming through dark water, he imagined he could hear the low bass:

dun dun.... dun dun.... DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN--

He abruptly halted. At the end of the dark street, lit only by the ghostly moon above, was a house whose lights glowed with golden welcome. A-ha! His first victim house! Guy's eyes glittered greedily. "You're going to need a bigger boat... load of candy," he promised the approaching door.

"Trick or treat!"

I asked if I could mention them ^^

*AHEM.* This is easily the most hilarious story I’ve read so far. When I read this for the first time I actually burst out laughing, it was that funny. I still have the aftersmile from reading it.

The amount of pure comedy and satire in this story is glorious.

I loved their story too! I enjoyed reading it so much, and was genuinely pleased to find I had some nice pets on their wishlist ^^ The more effort I feel people have put into their stories the more likely I am to up the worth/rarity of their treats, and this person truly took the cake
