I just started playing again and I went to a local parkway. I got a Dratini and a Ditto. I'm actually motivated to play again because I am motivate to walk so yeah. Anyone know what level you need to be to unlock Raid Battles? I am level 18.

the last I saw was level 25 and up but it is rapidly dropping.. but honestly, lower level players will have a hard time accomplishing damage in the raids

Thanks, I'd prefer if they would keep it at 25+ or 23+. A lot of people play Pokemon Go in another park near here so when I get to the required level I'll just hope someone screams out the password.

What do you mean by password?

I tried a raid battle yesterday. Got my raid pass and entered the battle. It was a Muk. Whenever I entered the battle it would Error me out, like that old Gym battle bug. As soon as the battle starts you're forced out of the battle, that bug. I was so disappointed, since I missed my bus to do the raid.

I'm also getting the opening bug where you start the game and nothing loads... Just everything is buggy for me right now.

Im pretty angry at the password thing.
Why do they keep trying to make us interact with strangers? I just want to catch some pokemon.
Last night I wanted to try a raid, it was a 1k cp magikarp but it threw me into some loading screen of 2 minutes and my mom said she wont wait for me that long so I had to leave it. Does the battle begin after the countdown is done?

@Cataclasm What's the 'password'. Is that the bunch of three starters in the top right corner? Or is it a new feature that I haven't seen or something (I haven't logged in to Pokémon Go this morning yet.) But yep, the battle begins after the countdown so you can pick your Pokémon, heal them, etc.

this whole feature is just pretty upsetting to me. Knowing there would never be enough players here to take down (and capture) the really good bosses, like legendaries...

by password I mean the code needed if you want to join your friends OR you can create a private group and make up your own password

you really dont have to interact with strangers - it automatically joins you up with anyone nearby who has used a raid pass on that battle

The new system is pretty lame.
You get coins once your pokemon is kicked out of the gym, depending on how long they were in there.
The rate is 1 coin per 10 minutes iirc, however they max out at 50 coins per all gyms, per day.

Ohhhh, i was wondering how you received coins now.
I haven't quite figured out how to fight raids with other people, and I'm worried there aren't enough players in my town to take one down with me either. Not to mention, the social interaction thing ghfkjg. I love the concept but I'm too nervous to do it myself...
Also, most people tend to be at school during the day, so that makes it harder until summer break at the end of July. (unless you have early break like I do)

I also find it kinda funny how there's now 2 gyms in my town quite literally right next to each other, due to one of them being a pokestop-turned gym. Would've thought they'd be chosen better o:
