I like the pose for the character! And it's a really cool character to begin with; I like the colour scheme of it.
Your style is very cute and I like the flow of your lines!

To drop a redline--

Image

Most of what I'd recommend is written on the image itself, though I'd also note that the body in general could be longer. The pose is nice, but the legs seem rather close together and lengthing the body and defining the slope of the back more will make the legs look less bent inward. This will also make the pose look more solid (as Sketchi suggested though, you could also just reposition the further front leg)

I have some tutorials linked in my signature-- with a defined canine section, if you'd like to ever browse it!

@Kiwi In A Bottle
I've found a really good tutorial for pixel art. You'll probably want to check section III, especially the section on dithering.

@Rune.
I could be wrong, but I want to say the breasts look a little too round. Also the light colored pupils are a little odd, they look a bit like her eyes are glowing.

---------------------------------------

Okay, so I won this lovely new lineart (the original artist's signature will be included in the final version) and I'm working on coloring it. As usual I'm a bit stuck on the shading. I was trying to have the light source be to the upper right. Here is how it looks currently:

Image Image

The first one is how I got the lineart, so I do not intend to make any major changes to the parts on that one. The second one I tried to draw a bare chest and split hooves, so critique on those parts is very welcome. Redlines are also welcome. :) I can also share a larger version if anyone wants to see the details better.

@Ciriun I did some red shading - the part of the lineart you did yourself look fine to me!
I've only shaded in red where I thought it looked a bit strange.

I haven't been here in a very very long time, so please excuse me if I do anything wrong. :0

@Rune. -the design is really adorable!
As for tips go, I just think that the thighs are a little too long in comparison to her calves? I would suggest maybe sketching her entire body underneath the dress, so you can have a full view and correct the proportions from there. c:

Thank you guys for all the help on the piece I posted a while back, I really appreciate it. Does anyone have any advice for doing more dynamic poses? I know how lines of action work, but I seem to have trouble implementing them. Is it just a matter of more practice?

@Ciriun: It looks like meowool has got you on the shading (that's not my forte either), but I think the line edits you did look pretty nice :3

@orion.: Wow, that looks absolutely gorgeous!

@Kiwi In A bottle: That's an interesting concept, you have there! I found some tutorials on plants for you [Turnk shaping/shading and leaves][Three part tree tutorial]. Plants respond to stimuli just like animals do (well, kind of). The best example I can give you here is sunflowers, which, as you probably know, grow and move towards the sun. Vines are a good example too because they curl around sticks or fences when they come into contact with them (response to touch). Trees actually grow upwards because they respond negatively to gravity and pull away from it (this helps move materials through the tree, blah blah bah ^^"). So there's my biology recap of the day, haha. Sorry that was so long, I hope it was at least semi-helpful! :3

@Solloby:
I like that design a lot to be honest, and it seems like everyone has answered any critique(s) I would make! ;v;
If

@orion:
That looks super good! I'm not very good at traditional art myself, although I do enjoy it a lot. I've never really made a lot of drawings with a white pencil/black paper 'v'

@Cicirun: Here's a redline/shading. It looks good like that, but the shading/extra lines are also how I like to line a lot so if you want feel free to ignore this ^^' For shading, sometimes I draw a sun to show where the light is c:
Image

@Rainpelt: For me, practice is key! So I think practicing would be super helpful when working on dynamic poses, looking a reference pictures/tutorials is also super helpful but make sure you credit your references!

@Shining Armor: Here's a redline, I'm not too good at them, but I hope it helps a little. Of course, you're always welcome to wait for someone who's better at anatomy than me haha! ;v;

If I could have some critique on this piece that'd be great! It can be on the design/lines/shading/anatomy, anything really! Redlines would also be awesome.

ahh corgi beat me to it. xD

That doodle is really cute to say the least. Just mainly, the front legs seem to be missing a joint, and could be a little bit longer.

But besides that I think your drawing looks super cute and adorable. <33

Critique would be helpful.

@Salt: love the facial expressions on this. As for the hands, the pinky and the thumb look very similar. Like she has two thumbs on each hand. I wish I was at a computer right now so I could show you some exercises I did with drawing hands. (Because, Honestly.... I suck at drawing hands. Lol.) The easiest references to use are probably that of classic Disney animation. You should be able to Google some of Milt Kahl's hand exercises and reference them. They helped me a lot. Also the works of J. Scott Campbell. Hope this helps and once I get to a computer or get some down time, I will PM you some of the references and exercises I use/did.

@corgie: that looks really great! i particularly thick outline around the edge. the only thing i could see changing would be the length of her arms, the one on the right is fine but the one on the left is looking a bit short. other than that it looks awesome, you've done a good job with the details too :3c
