to all those i left behind, all those i never cared for, all those i abandoned.
I understand your screams, your pain, your fear.
I ask of you, undeserving. Please forgive me.

Hook straitened, neck stiff and veins rippling. Snorting with frustration, he pawed the dusty burning soil. He heard the screams of his herdmates, the sickening cries from foals being ripped from their mothers hold.
Yet he sat, sat and watched, waiting. He would never be caught, he would build another herd like last time. Then lead them to be caught by the humans, ripping them of the safe home they deemed Hell. Nobody tried to catch him, until the women and her white stallion came. He had a black marking on his eye just as Hook did, not a patch more of a tribal mark. The other stallion screamed his name into Hooks brain, Morpheus. Hook made out only a few words the stallion spat at him, "catch." "mine."
Hook turned, tails whipping in the hot steam filled wind. His horns were slashed by the burning brush, they stung his face and choked his airway.
Morpheus was coming hard, metal covered hoofs pounding the dirt, protected face grinning. The women atop him rode like a shadow, it was no challenge for her on the stallion. They had a connection, one of slavery? Or a bond of friendship? Hook would not stay long enough to find out.
He felt the slap, and heard the woosh as the rope looped his thick neck. He bellowed frantically, throwing his body into the air. Spinning fast and hard in circles trying to throw the Stallion off, trying to free himself. Through the spins Hook noticed yet another Narakari, this time a dark sooty grey raced in. Her name met his mind slower and quieter, still biting hard and fierce, Greer. Another women was atop, she was thin but strong, long robes around her. Another rope met his back hoof, spreading his body apart, slowing him... down....
I have developed an attachment to Hook, as you can see. Hook is a pirate, not one of sorts that we may understand. He doesn't steal or plunder, But he is defined as "one who attacks" he has a hollow soul, one of no fear or feelings of love. This is important as all of my Narakari have traits i see in myself,
for example.
Sheki- leadership
Rohkeus- rebellion
Bidla- show off
Zayev- flirty
Rosa- stupid moments
Tundra- reserved
Claudin- heroic
The list truly goes on, and on, to every one of my Narakari. Some are negative traits like Legolas' aggression. But others are good like Hidalgo's loyalty.
Hook is one of those negative traits, i felt like instantly when i saw him he was a pirate. His little eyepatch, and beat up flank showed his tough endurance.
I have some emotional problems, and one is a form of depression that comes with a terrible hate for myself, and anger for those around me. Though i am fine, my emotions can show up and i know that art helps me vent those to myself where words do not work. I felt like Hook would be a good Narakari i could use to vent those feelings through, as i do with the others.
Each emotion i feel, depending on the day and my feelings will result in that Narakari being written about, or their archive entry being updated. I think that by winning Hook he will be a very loved and treasured member of my large but loved family, along with him as a tool to help me through times when i just need to emotionally connect with something only i need to understand.
I do think i am going to leave Hook deemed not tamable if i am to keep him. His spirit wont be broken, and he will just run and run. I think Twitch and Lynx may release him into a large pen alone, or with a single mare, so he may just be himself.
This was my impress me i may possibly add more, I originally as going to use the fullbody image as my final contest entry, but as i worked the hell backround came up, and the handler was lost, resulting in me finishing it for today.
