@Twisted_Swallow: That's a really great attempt! I love the colouring and shading you've done! As for anatomy, try inverting it, that always helps me see the errors in my work. The eyes seem a little too close together to me, also, the arms should be much looser, they come in too close to the body at the moment. I know you've tried to accentuate the smaller hips of males, but those hips are a little too small. Also, he should probably pull up his pants a little XD Those legs should also be much thicker.

    Hope that helps!

@4dogowner: I love the ref and design! Very well done! As for the shading, here's a tutorial on shading that SolarDaemon linked me to a few pages back that I've found immensely helpful.

@ToxicLama: Wow! That is amazing! I have absolutely no critique, only admiration for your attention to detail (I'm not that patient with detail myself >.<)

[b@Clowesia:[/b] That pokefusion is absolutely adorable! I love the style you've used! As for the second piece, I absolutely love it, very very well done! Perhaps you should try out some textures on it? The sand and the cape especially. Just a suggestion ^^

@Yami Baishi: That's really cool! I don't have much critique for the anatomy and such since I've never even tried to draw a kiss before. Perhaps outlining the two of them in a very light colour (like cream) might help make them jump from the background a little more? The detail in it is a little distracting at the moment.

So here's something I've been working on, the problem is, I'm horrible at poses...
So from left to right it goes: Ace, Jay, Dub, Mika & Keon
I'd love any redlines or help on refining the anatomy and whatnot. Just letting you know, all the characters except for Jay have an extra set of muscles under their pecs (so don't hit me if you see something like that) and their eyes are supposed to be large in proportion.

I'd also love some tips on the 'hair', specifically, all the characters except for Jay have feathers in stead of hair. I'm currently having trouble drawing them though. For example here:
    Image

His feathers just don't look right to me. Also, because the species, when agitated, can raise their feathers like a ruff, I'm unsure as to how to draw/differentiate lying flat and standing up without it looking completely weird or unrealistic.

I know there are tutorials on feathers, but I'm having an issue finding any about how to draw a bunch of feathers.
Any help would be much appreciated!

Also, wings would be a good for the basic bunches, seeing as though you would have to layer feathers out from the head. So a google of wings and a few tutorials should also help :3

Twisted swallow, I'd really suggest making guidelines. It helps make the body more proportion and my symmetrical. Also, your torso is 3 heads big, when a normal human is around two. Good job though. It looks great.

Can I get some help on color pallets. I'm trying to design my characters clothes and I have the clothing done but I don't know how I should color it. Please don't say 'just look up a palette' because it is hard finding one that fits. She is a.. Punk character with pastel blue hair. It seems impossible coming up with color schemes for her iui

Twisted_Swallow my human anatomy isn't that good to be honest but I'm sure a view from another persons perspective may be appreciated? The first thing I notice is that the stomach is thinned a little too much- if you look at the shoulders, they are much wider than the hips. The eyes are a tiny bit too close together. His trousers/pants need to be pulled up also, I understand you want him to look toned with those 'v-lines'. Best thing in my eyes is to make the what I'll now call v-lines a little less upright and more diagonal. This will be easier to do once the hips are widened a little. That being said, I really love the shading and the highlighting is so lovely!

As I said above, my knowledge of human anatomy is pretty much nil. Although I can say which won't be much use because it has already been said, but look at some wing tutorials :) I really like your art though, I can't wait to see the end result!

Yuki. It depends on what kind of pastel blue the hair is because, the tone of pastel colours vary a lot. If you have any sketches or a swatch of the colour I'm sure that would be appreciated :) I'm afraid if you cannot find a palette that you like, it may be very difficult for another person to find one that you will but I can give it a go.
Maybe something a pastel pink and purples? Or a very slight beige? Or even a light shade of khaki green.
Click ere and here to see some palettes I found that may help you :)

I was wondering if anybody knew of any good bear tutorials asides this one, that would be much appreciated! Thank you!

Because some coloured pencils broke on me I had to colour some drawings digitally - the first time I did this it took about....5 hours.
