Food makes friends.

Pineapple Upside-Down Cake {I reasearched pineapple to make sure it was safe for equines, I mix and matched my ingredients to create something safe and yummy.}
I've always been a firm believer in molasses and what creature in this world can turn down sugar? I wanted to find ingredients that would help with any residual pain my boy may have been feeling from his scars. I'm probably one of the best people to express the fact that if I'm in pain, I am the worst to be around, I lash out and am generally over sensitive and grumpy.
The peppermint, my geldings will come for miles at the sound of rustling plastic, it's amazing if they get loose how easy they are to catch if you have just a small piece! So I thought that would be a good thing to start with to encourage some ground training!
So on the other side, These were supposed to be doughnuts...and we forgot and left the eggs in the truck for 2 days...
I had to run out after mixing all the ingredients and buy more eggs!) So this turned out pretty dang good if I do say so myself! (My son seemed to enjoy it too!!)
Bonus: Home Is Where The Heart Is.

So we rode all over creation to make miss picky (me) happy with a shot, I ended up with 3 that I fell in love with (more like 5 but my in-laws and hubs narrowed it down) eventually out of the 3 I finally picked, mostly because of the 'home is where the heart is' I have lived near these battlefields all my life I used to walk them with my father after school, and was always thrilled to find hoof prints down the paths, and I'm overly intrigued by paths, I have to know where they go, it has to be one of my favorite things in the world to do! The battlefields are from the Civil War and my father has always been a history buff so this is in my blood. One day I swear before I die I will go trail riding in these historic places and romantically dream of bullets whizzing by and cannon fire.
(The cannons are replicas filled with concrete! And we also helped a man with directions that had been on the road for 2 weeks he was from the mid-west and was just wandering his way through the many historical markers in my area!)
(After the judging I'll post the other few pictures that I might have picked, if y'all want to see them!)

This delightful tropical fruit is high in the enzyme bromelain and the antioxidant vitamin C, both of which plays a major role in the body's healing process.
brown sugar is made from molasses, which has the healing properties.
It also helps to improve bone health, electrolyte balance, hair care, functioning of the nervous system, and wound healing. Molasses also helps to strengthen the immune system, maintain healthy levels of hemoglobin and aid in the formation of new cells in the body.
