Almost all of the Summer Event THs have been judged. Out of the ones who don't have any entries (or have entries from people who already won a TH from that set), I have decided to keep two. The rest are up for grabs (links below). The Royal set is also up (links below).

I thought the royals were prizes that had already been given out to the members who had participated in the quest?

That was the Noble set. I'll be putting those up in a moment.

Also, I just finished editing the old lines. All the shading was redone, and as for the lines, some were barely edited, one not at all, and for some, I redid the entire thing, but in the same position (basically, a better version of what we had before).

Foal was barely edited. Standard was not changed at all. Thoroughbred got new hind legs. Draft's feathering on two legs was edited. Shetland's lines were redone. Fjord's lines were redone. Arabian's lines were redone. Spanish got a new mane, tail, and neck. Marwari's lines were redone. Akhal-Teke's lines were redone.

I know some of you might be worried about how the new lines are going to look. But don't worry. For each type, I drew a new set of lines (using the old ones as a sketch to work off of) and then compared the old and new and figured out which looked better. If the new one looked better (i.e., the new Akhal-Teke didn't have the weird head and stiff appearance, the new Marwari wasn't so short in body and had a nicer head, the new Arabian looked very Arabian, etc.), then I kept it. If the old one looked better, I discarded the new lines. If they both had good parts and bad parts, I kept the old lines, and used the good parts from the new lines to replace the not-so-good parts from the old ones (i.e. the old Spanish had a good head, good back, and legs, but the new Spanish had better mane, tail, and neck).

So, really, everything has only been improved. Even if they take a little getting used to, I'm sure you'll all love the new-and-improved lines.

I plan to add at least three new types (oneofwhichmayormaynotbefriesian), and quite possibly even more. I'd love your input on which ones I should add.

Also *squeeeeee* I absolutely LOVE Friesian *flails* but I'm also really glad Standard hasn't changed, they are my absolute favourites of the already existing types <3

I'm really looking forward to seeing Tiny Horses come back to life again, it's one of my favourite adopts *big hugs all round*

Friesian is finished! I'm quite happy with how it turned out.

I need some suggestions for what other types to add. They need to have a unique look that'll stand out from the other types. Aaaaand that's pretty much the only requirement. Any ideas?

After some good old-fashioned internet browsing, I came up with two ideas that might work. The Bashkir Curly and the Tennessee Walking Horse. Whaddaya think?

Tiny Horse types are only named after the breeds that their conformation resembles, but each Tiny Horse type can come in any color, regardless of the colors of the breed it's named after. So there will be Friesian types of all colors.

Curly lines are finished. Next up is the Tennessee Walking Horse.

Added a section to the "News" post (first page, second post). There's a "To-Do List" so you can track my progress with v.2 so far.

Added four new show types (steeplechasing, harness racing, halter, and reining) and assigned all TH types their new show points (total of 27 points per type across all 9 disciplines). Still have to rework a few things to make the shows less problematic for me to run. The old ones were crazy stressful. DX I'll be changing up the prizes (I could never keep track of who won what when and "hoooow do I do this???") and a few other things, but the shows will still be "raffle"-style. As for the ribbons, if anyone here has some way of either giving the old ribbons transparent BGs or making new ribbons with transparent BGs, I would be eternally grateful. (and reward you with sneak-peeks of the drop-dead gorgeous new types)

Aaaand I want to add at least two more types so we can have a grand total of 14 (for now) as a tribute to The Hobbit. (FYI the Shetland is totally Bilbo and the Friesian is soooo Thorin) So. Ideas? I've heard Przewalksi's Horse and Icelandic Horses mentioned, and I will keep those suggestions in mind, but before I decide to go with them I'd like to see if we can't find something else that just "clicks," ya know?
