Oh but it does have metal buttons. I think each coat comes with different buttons on, my one certainly came with an assortment of random buttons. The quality isn't brillianor the price, but I love it too much, the high neck, rather overlarge collar, and there are four red stitches on the back. So unique but so awesome <3

I don't have any jewelery, though if I get some leather and thread I might just make my own. I've grown far too used to people commenting on what I wear and what I look like to care any more. I think I might pitch my clothing purchases at more Victorian-y things now, but I just find jeans and a tee far too comfy. I'm beginning to progress more towards the steampunk clothing style though, even if in small stages.

Oh, Zanaia, I love the pirates too! They are best, The idea of air pirates, travelling around in huge vessels among the clouds, avoiding the all to finely dressed law. Oh it's just brilliant.

I don't think I'd have the guts to dress up all steampunky (or anything like that), but I went to Hollister (of all places XP) and boght an adorable white ruffle-skirt with lots of lace, a pair of navy-and-white thigh-high socks, a tight navy camisole, and a pair of really cute black boots. They're cut just below the knee, has what looks like a black boot cover over it, attatched by a buckled strap that goes under the heel :3
I feel so purty and steampunky in it; I just need, like, to cut my hair into a messy bob and get a pair of aviator goggles and I'd look awesome XP But I wouldn't cut my hair *pets long, silky tresses* and I'd chicken out of wearing the goggles.

Super cute coat!

To jump into the conversation, I dress in a steampunk style quite often... A good site to look for stuff is Clockwork Couture. I have a flight jacket and a few of the medals from them :)

I'm the sort of person that doesnt care what others say about me, so I'm often seen wearing either cosplay costumes or my steampunk attire.

I love Clockwork Couture, but they are pricey. I'm better off making my own stuff. Luckily I have some awesome antique shops nearby, and I found a couple of stores that cell "steampunk-y" stuff. Okay, they aren't actually steampunk, but at stores like Kohls and Rue 21 I was able to find shirts with Victorian-esque features. I pair them up with jeans and some steampunk assesories! That's as far as I'm going, for now. When I reach college and hopefully find other people like me, I will probably start going to bit "craz"y since I will have the chance to build my confidence with others.

I got really excited the other day! I found steampunk goggles in an antique shop. But they were expensive and I was broke at the time. :(

It's expensive, but very well made. Everything I have gotten at Clockwork Couture have been gifts from my uncle... He is as obsessed with steam punk as I am.

I got a pair of boots at Rue 21, for my Airship Captain's costume. Black, with bronze buckles. Then I bought little gear filigree and soldered them on the front buckle. :)

No wonder I've barely heard of any of these places, they're all in the US. I think I'll just have to stick with making my own and buying and accessorising steampunk-y items.

Goodnight people, and Happy New Years c:

Huh, I would have never guessed those stores to sell that kind of stuff. Then again, I'm not really a shopping person, so I've only been in them a few times... I'll have to go look sometime for the fun of it, even though I've never had the idea of slowly shifting my clothing style (my non-existent one) in a new direction.

Equality, Spirituality, Freedom, and Unity all require a simple, yet almost unattainable thing. Balance. And yet, when the world breaks us down to our most basic level, that is when we are open to the greatest change.

Really, almost anything can be modified to fit Steampunk. I mean, Steampunk is as much a part of oneself as it's anything else. My version of steam-punk is more adventurous than my uncles view of it (he is an aristocratic gentleman that wouldn't know an airship if it was right in front of him.)

ThinkGeek has an amazing Steampunk Wing shirt. It's a woman's shirt with these wings printed on the back, in bronze and all gears and it's just awesome looking! Hot Topic sometimes has stuff, mostly things that can be modded. Eh, where else... I'll think of things. Thrift stores and yard sales are good places to look. :)

For anyone interested, I also have a Steampunk group called the Airship Khazak. Horse, maybe I could put a Steampunk Society link on my group page?
