When merging, I know that the deer and companion can not be merged with another deer/ companion after that, and that they can be merged with Each Other again. But, if one of them is traded away, would the new owner be able to merge it with one of Their deer/ companions? Like, does it reset for a new owner?

I am pretty sure the companion becomes untradeable after merge, or more like: "you can only trade the deer, companion and merge monster all together but never separate them"
