*dithers about for a minute, hesitating a moment before beginning to type* Hello, everyone~! I've been working on some more gift lines for y'all, and thus far it's looking fairly swell, at least in my opinion. I've got a troting adult calvar done, with layers for shading, body color, and a combined layer for skull and hoof colors, as well as a frisky foal with the same set up. I've got sketches done for a forested background, and a majority of the forested foreground done, with plans to make alternate back and foregrounds for a track, as well as a pasture. Sketches for halters done, considering adding lead ropes, with blank layers ready for a saddle, bridle, and pad for the adult only... Considering adding in another adult calvar, perhaps in a different gait, though that's still very much up in the air, since I'd be doing tack and everything for that one as well, were I to commit to adding another calvar. Hesitantly considering trying my hand at a human or two- riding or walking (with layers holding an alternate lead and/or reins).

All that being said, I'd like to know what y'all would like to see- registered breeder and fence-sitting species stalker alike. It wouldn't do to put all my time and effort into making a bunch of extras no one wants to see, if there's something else calvar owners (and potential owners) want to see instead, which simply might not of occurred to me. If you don't wish to voice your opinion here, my inbox is open. Even sleep deprived, I'm quite unlikely to bite.

i have to say, your giftlines are stunning and i can't wait to see more! as for preferences, i'm very open to anything; of course, competition poses would rock so that when i open competitions i have some advertising fodder. i can't wait to color in my girl on the lines, though i might just have to make her a counterpart so i have another babe to work with!
hey, we've hit 20 calvars! what do y'all say to an artist competition? i feel like we're ready, what with the surprising amount of activity we've hit in the first few months of activity. thoughts?
also, competitions may be very imminent - as early as next week if progress moves fast! as for the mini-race (which was a sort of tester to see how easy to manage it'll be), that'll be judged tonight and prizes will be handed out shortly. where the CBA is getting all this money, heaven knows.
another update, i'm changing breeding cooldowns to 2 weeks regardless of gender - all have been updated accordingly (excluding those that are already finished).
as for the event, i'm still pondering end dates, but it'll probably end around the middle to the end of May, so you've still got time. happy exploring!

^ A preview of the adult, foal, and forest foreground- all base colors are flat, with the shading on another layer over them. Had the background and halters finished, but my computer crashed before I could save them. Grey background is just a baseline for shading overlays and a rough horizon line.

As for competitive poses- you've got it, as soon as I finish with this collection. The head, neck, and forequarters in a jumping pose sound good to you? I've been considering it, but wanted to do something with a foal first.

As for an artist competition- sounds good to me~! Might have to give it a shot if you do open a comp, though a bit more clarification on what coats and genes can currently be seen in the breed would be lovely- wouldn't want to base a design off of a canine only to scratch it because it didn't meet the breed standards.

Ooh~! I can't wait to see the competitions open up~ The mini event was quite fun, even if my darling didn't win. The short tale of how the race went was a pleasant surprise, and a nice touch.

Alright~ The breeding cooldown seems much more fair now. While it's good to know that there's still a fair bit of time left for the event, though I'm sure you miss your mare quite sorely already, and can't wait to get her home.

After nearly strangling my computer when it refused to save, I've finally managed to redo the halters and forest background. Again; comments, critique, and recommendations are welcome. I pithumple promise that I won't bite.

Edit; I'm in the final stretch for these giftlines, and recommendations are still welcome.

ack, sorry for disappearing! my electronics have been totally whack and i've been in a really terribly mood, but hey, i'm not letting my crap-top get in the way of things here!

klove, i honestly gasped when i saw those completed giftlines. they are utterly gorgeous, i literally cannot express how thankful i am that i have such wonderful members of the community!

so, the competition did not run this week due to there being too few entrants. i'll give y'all some time to get organized, so hopefully competitions shall return on the 25th. as well, all events as usual are still on track to continue!

on another note, any suggestions for colors? i was hoping to post a few adopts tomorrow when i have some time to spare~

No worries, no worries~ I'm well acquainted with the argumentitive belligerence of technology, and figured it was either something along that vein, or life being demanding. in any case, welcome back, I'm glad to see that you've returned~

Ah, thank you very much for all the compliments~ I'm glad that you like them so much- I'm beaming at the moment, and getting a few odd looks since my class is on our way north to see dead people.

Aww... Oh well, there's always next time.

Hm... Maybe some darker, or more brown or red-toned coats? I've been seeing a lot of greys and gold-toned coats, as well as a lot of extensive or otherwise prominent white markings... So maybe some calvars with smaller white markings? Perhaps another event adopt with paint or stencils on it; maybe some floral sugar skull like paint, or something of the sort? *shrugs*

i didn't forget you guys, i promise!! internet explorer curled up and died on me, but we finally figured out the problems, so i should be back for good!
anyhow, competitions should start tomorrow, so be sure to check for updates! as well, i'll be releasing some new adopts shortly, and maybe when i'm done with filming for a school project today i'll hold a little stream. as well, the much-procrastinated artist competition will be posted shortly!
there might also be a little surprise coming up in the kickstarter, so keep a sharp eye out!
