I'm here to happily announce the mateship of my two Scribble Dragons, Rust and Truffle!

Rust's paws trembled with anxiety as he strode quietly beside Truffle, a fervent blush lingering on the apples of his cheeks. His gaze was fixed on the root-knotted forest path the two treaded upon. The young man exhaled shakily as the two neared the top of the mountain, his shaking fingers curled protectively over the mahogany box in his pocket.

Suddenly, just as Truffle and Rust passed around a soft bend in the trail, the forest stopped to reveal a gorgeous swathe of sky. Rust could hear the breath catch in Truffle's throat as she bound forward onto the wide ledge to view the stunning scenery surrounding the mountain. "It's beautiful," she whispered with a delighted smile. "This is our best trip yet."

Rust sidled by her side and pulled out the polished box that was tucked in his pocket for so long. He met Truffle's bewildered gaze with a surprisingly charming smile. "And I hope to make it even better, my love," he said, affectionately tucking a strand of her bronze hair behind her ear. The eager fellow knelt to his knees and opened the box to reveal a stunning diamond and emerald engagement ring. "Truffle, I absolutely adore you. I've loved you ever since childhood, and my feelings have grown ever since I first met your acquaintance." Rust's eyes glimmered with tears as he paused for a moment. "Truffle, will you marry me?"

Truffle broke into a wild sob and flung herself into Rust's arms. "Yes!" she cried with joy. "I've been waiting forever!"
