On the topic of Microsoft buying Minecraft:
Something tells me Microsoft is not going to screw up MC too badly. I don't think they'll do anything stupid or huge. I'm sure they'll continue with occasional updates, but that was to be accepted. We can only hope they won't try to put their own stupid twist on Minecraft. I heard some people on the old thread talking about how they might copy write MC on Youtube so people can't post or watch MC vids anymore? I highly, highly doubt it will come to that. Youtube is perhaps the number one reason Minecraft is so huge. I don't have Minecraft myself, and I've only played it a few times. But I've been watching videos of others playing MC for years and when I talk to people who actually have the game, I seem to know more about the game than them often times. I doubt Microsoft would dare take out a vital part of the community that many millions of people are involved in such as the Minecraft community on Youtube.




Shifting gears here:
I've got some ideas for the new thread! I was thinking that first off we probably should hire some staff. As most of you know, the staff on the original thread were all inactive and it made the club kind of hard to get into.
Also I think maybe we should start holding contests and such to get the community more active. We could have themed building challenges with pets and C$ as prizes. I'd be happy to contribute to a prize pool if a staff member here started a contest thing.

I should hope not. I was reading YouTube comments that were expressing rumors/theories and a couple of the more terrifying ones suggested that they may have us pay a monthly subscription to keep playing or having to pay money to get to the nether/end ;; I'm so scared, if that actually happens we need to get a massive riot with torches and pitchforks to hang around outside the Microsoft HQ. And, I know that Youtubers can keep making Minecraft videos, but what about animations and parodies?

I think we should set up an official server that everyone can play, and we can do contests on there. I can host servers from my computer, but they wont be up all the time, so if anyone wants a 24 hour server they gotta set it up. In the meantime, I do have a 1.7 vanilla server that I previously used for vanilla minigames that should work fine if we want to do a building contest now c:

If it becomes a monthly subscription I'm leaving.... at least the pc version. I doubt if they did that it would be for the consoles. Also if they take away the ability for players to make mods and such i will probably leave to...... I really like my adventure time pack and pixelmon mod.
