*~: My reply to the subject going on at the moment :~*
I didn't mind "The Morning Report." Yet I do think it was pointless.
But, this is all my opinion and it seems to not to matter to anyone.
And yeah, that is the original scene.
*~: I'm Changing The Subject; Young Simba
Some of what is said here is my opinion, do not flame me over it.
I have recently been watching some videos of where people review "The Lion King". I found one video where this person discusses how Simba acts at a cub.
Now, this guy talks for a while about how he thought as a kid that his movie was going to bomb and suck, and how much he dislikes this movie. When he finally gets to the scene where Simba wakes up his father. Now, this is where the guy states his opinion on young Simba, by calling him a "brat" (I use brat because I can't post what he really said.) He compares Simba to Gaston, the villain in Beauty and the Beast.
I do not see Simba as a self obsess fool that cares for no one but himself. But I do some-what agree with what else he likens Simba to, Draco Malfoy. I will explain.
Draco Malfoy is a character that is rude, and thinks that he is better then everyone else, because of his family. Draco's family has money and are pure-bloods, somewhat like royalty. Even thought he does end up redeeming himself in the end he never becomes a truly likable character
Now, Simba does come off at first rude, but that is because of his family. His family is royalty. And so he acts like a spoiled rich kid, somewhat. Simba does redeem himself when he gets older, but unlike Draco, he does become a likable character.
But, saying that, I do, to a certain extent, think Simba could be likened to Draco.
But there was a reason for Simba to acts like a spoiled kid, the whole movie was about Simba changing, changing from a kid that didn't have to do very much to a adult that has to take responsibility
But, to me, there was no real reason for Draco to change, he just does. He is a brat in the beginning to bother Harry Potter, then fade away to an almost no existent character..
