Raging Storm was a little disappointing. However, I thought it was interesting that it brought up issues previous books in the series have not. I don't want to give away anything about the plot, but the Hunters address issues of relationships and relationship pressures that I mostly appreciated.

oof,, i havent read these since the first tribe book came out?? i'm not sure if i should pick up where i left off or not in all honesty,, i think i was too attached to firestar and allthough that name is probably long dead by now it lingers with me lmao

I also found RS fairly disappointing, with a lot of the plot points built up throughout the series. Though the particular relationship you're talking about was very interesting to read about - I wish it had even had some more time to develop.

Love your shelf, by the way! My super editions are in publication order too. I won't post another picture again for a bit but I was lucky enough to get a set of Power of Three with the original covers in paperback in excellent condition for my birthday.

@Kira Nightblade Why couldn't Bramblestar die? Given Squirrelflight's upcoming super edition I think that could be an interesting plotpoint. Have another SE in the "becoming a leader" series lol. Also is the Firestar comment a joke haha??

You know what I want? A sequel to dawn of the clans. yeah, that's what I want.

I wonder if it'll have to do with Cloudtail/Mothwing's atheism??
I also really want a DotC sequel - I want to know what happens to those super special kits in Moth Flight's Vision.

(The name list on the bottom is wrong of course, the stories are to be centered around Redtail, Tawnypelt and Shadowstar.)
Here's the other upcoming book - I've only seen it listed under the same release date in April as Lost Stars but I don't know if that's actually true. I've got strong hopes for all three - Redtail being a character close to my heart, Tawnypelt having been thoroughly let down this past series, and Shadowstar with the hopes of some post-DotC content!!

Because I wouldn't really consider Bramblestar 'a beloved leader'? Imo? Idk lol.

Mistystar would make sense too come to think of it. How old is she? She was a warrior (soon with kits) when Graystripe was an apprentice, and Graystripe is an elder.. does it ever say who Mistystars mate was btw?
and I'm pretty sure Cloudtail believes in Starclan now, but Mothwing still doesn't. (Which doesn't make sense especially after the Dark Forest attacked imo)


And ooh, that looks so cool :O I want it, I need it. A Tawnypelt and Redtail one will be super intresting :O

I'll probably wait to hear more about what the new series will be about. If it's interesting, I may read it.

1-3 In AVOS were 10/10. That arc was one of my favorites and left me shocked with what the Erin's were willing to do.

I didn't really care about Violet and twig. Twig was decent, but Alderheart had to be my favorite of that series fight me. Sparkpelt or whatever she's called feels nonexistent.


I feel like the Erin's at this point are writing more for the money. If they left off with a last hope and did the occasional super additions like bramblestars storm, I would've been fine.

I'm very sure they are just writing for money at this point, but AVOS is very good so far and Lost Stars looks very interesting.
I wish they had a DoTC sequel though.

Ohh, I had assumed it meant beloved to the cats and not the audience. I'd say he's beloved by Thunderclan, I guess :0

Mistystar was born one year before Firestar (Rusty) and we're on year 12 of Firestar & post-Firestar, so she's thirteen years old-ish. She was born a year before Thornclaw, Brackenfur, Cinderpelt and Brightheart, so in that context similar aged cats are still alive, but conversely there have been 3 or 4 generations since her. Also no, we don't know who her mate was! But I'm okay with that - I liked that in the original series we didn't always know the father, I think it was a bit more naturalistic, but that's just my opinion haha

Yeah, I'll explain in transparent below:

Basically, Twigpaw made fast friends with a Skyclan apprentice, Finpaw (not sure if you're up to that point by book 3). She decided to move back to Thunderclan, and Finpaw went with her. Just after they were made warriors, Finleap started pressuring Twigbranch into having kits. She said repeatedly that she wasn't ready yet. and then gave her an ultimatum saying that if she would never have his kits he'd have to leave Thunderclan. In the end he apologised and told her he'd be satisfied with just her, though, but it was a really interesting piece on emotional manipulation.

The first half of AVOS was stunning, imo. The second half was a huge letdown but the first half's plotline is one of my favourites for sure.

The question is, do wild cats get better care? Because their medicine cats can detect more then us humans...
I think we can she lost a life to Darktail, possibly during the Dark Forest.. 1 for Greencough isn't mentioned but hey it probably happened anyone else know what other lives she lost and what to? (I cannot remember)

I highly doubt it. A lot of cats die in Warriors of sickness and wounds despite treatment and humans have way better abilities to heal with giving them surgery and medicine that is created specifically to treat cats.

Sooo I'm reading the first series again, and on A Dangerous Path..
can I just say
how stupid Tigerstar is
to think he has ANY claim on Tawnypaw and Bramblepaw considering their MOTHER is in Thunderclan.
In the case Thunderclan has 500x more claim on Featherpaw and Stormpaw because their mother is dead, and Graystripe is still alive. Soooo..
It just makes me soo annoyed.

also can we just all stop and appreciate Longtail.
