I wrote this a few years ago when I first got her, and it just stuck:

The eyepatch represents the fact that I am always blind to one side of the world. Whether it's the gossip that someone's said about me that I just don't understand the intentions for, something I've said that has harmed someone more deeply than I could imagine, or the fact that I am blind to the pain and horror that others have been exposed to, I am always blind to the things that I wish that I could understand.

As for her species, I have just always loved Australian Shepherds. They're one of my favorite dog breeds. And she had to be a dog, because ever since I can remember, I always had hundreds of dog "imaginary friends," and I'd always rent dog breed books from the library and study them. Dogs have always fascinated me! It just fit.

Her green eyes are a sweet, simple reminder that my eyes are hazel. The heart on her chest symbolizes my American patriotism, love of freedom (specifically of religion), and heart for the needy. Her personality is me to a T, with a few more motherly qualities thrown in.

Jaxie:
I haven't actually written up her personality yet, but I imagine her being a perfect image of myself, yet so different from Liberty. It's like I need both of them to really balance me out. Another one of my favorite dog species in the Dalmation, and I've always loved reptiles, so I threw in the lizard tail and took it and ran with it. On her cheek, she has a heart marking. It reminds me to always be loving, and represents my appreciation and reverence of love. She's a Leo, just like my star-sign is. She can always be seen with a Starbucks Vanilla Bean Frappuccino, my favorite drink. x3 She's actually pansexual, not heterosexual like myself, to represent my romanticism, my support of the LGBTQ+, my unexpressed feelings, etc. etc. Personal reasons that other people are more than welcome to disagree with.
She's me at heart. Loves Fall Out Boy, Lorde, Justin Timberlake, Macklemore, Coldplay, and Fun. She loves Skittles, always wears cotton candy perfume, is usually relatively nosy, often wears a heart shape necklace [to match mine, a present from my RL boyfriend]. Yup yup.

Wesley:
I'd like to think of Wesley as my personal mascot. He takes all of the blame for my less approachable side and qualities. He's also how I would portray my internet self: grumpy, self-centered, etc. but with a soft side for the one(s) that he loves. He's a more funny version of me. There's not my to his design really, I just rather can't explain a grey dog with brown eyes & nose. He's based off of my first ever FooPet, from back when FooPets played a huge part into my internet life. x3 He has a cross necklace (I'm a Christian), Steelers ballcap and Indiana #1 jersey (to represent my sports fan within), and an old tattered softball [a present from my RL deceased grandpa.] Just subtle reminders of who I am, here and there.

Wow, I just love looking at other people's characters. No dreamies, but I really really love Death, Meumnue, and The Iceman.
