What are the dress up rules for lolo costumes? I know the pets design can't be used in the costume but what else?

These are the costume rules for this year:

• You cannot use the pet's design as the costume; it must be wearing items.
  
• No costumes that are bloody, gory, or disturbing and no character cosplays from media that is not CS appropriate.
• It doesn't have to be a typical Halloween costume, they just need to be dressing up as something recognizable!
• The pet's costume should cover a good portion of their body, not just include a few accessories.

Sorry so hypothetically say I wanted to use the orange fox items and make a fox would using an orange pet break the first rule and count as using it's design as part of its costume? Or is that allowed? As I have a few pets dressed up as things where I've picked pets who's fur colour match the ears/tails/wings etc that I've added to them like pink pets wearing pink ears and pig noses

It is fine to use the pets design to aid the costume, but if the costume is only recognizable or looks complete because of the pet it was placed on that would be using the pets design as part of the costume.

The best way to test this is if you can put the exact same costume on a completely different pet and it still looks like a complete costume, then its all good. But if it only works on that specific pet than it would be using the pet's design as part of the costume.

What you describe sounds fine, though it can always depend on the exact costume, generally speaking just picking a fur color that matches usually won't be breaking that rule.

I have tried entering it once for LOLO but it got rejected. I couldn’t remember why.
It’s on the shadow dog but because the looming shadow item is so big, it covers most of the dog. The only visible portion of the dog would be just part of its tail. The rest of the tail is from a witch dress.

Unfortunately, that wouldn't be considered a costume. The reason being the dog's actual design is based on a shadow, so it's essentially dressing up as what it already is. A pet's design cannot be used as its costume.

I don’t have a screen shot, but what I do is have columns for username/ID, date visited, if they sent me a trick or treat, if I sent them a trick or treat, and if they allow multiple visits

I wasn't able to do LOLO last year and nearly forgot about it for this year. ^^; I didn't really know what kind of costume I wanted to do, but I remembered that I had two costumes I made, so I'm trying to pick between these two for LOLO.

Any thoughts on the costumes? I'll probably remove the background for Kylo to make it easier to use if I go with that one. I'm just stuck between them because I really like both of them.
