Draca- Thanks for clearing that up again, I was soon to mention it myself :) Just a quick query, if someone is not asking for critique/redlines etc with their art, must they comment on the previous 10 posts?

Becca- I really love your style, you have improved a lot. I think the neck could be a little thin and remember to show the elbow in the arm closest to us and also the other arm gets a little thin.

4dogowner- I'm not great with shading but perhaps a little highlighting? I notice there is shine on the nose which looks great. The shading does look really good to me, my only tip is make the shading less harsh by blending it out?

ouji★hime- The hind legs do look strange to me... I think perhaps the lower leg is too long and the paws need some more shape to them, try rather than making diagonal lines for the toes to make a sort of- blunted triangle shape to them and then pick out the toes, I found this tutorial helpful; Click.

Soteria- It looks super good so far, The hair is so luscious! For the chest I think you would need to do slightly rounded shapes around the outsides of the breasts closer to the arms and make the muscles on the arms less sharp. For the hands I suggest one on top of the other or just by the girls sides.

Marouk.- What a pretty pixel! The upper hind leg looks a little thin to me- I thin it dips in too much, other than that I think it looks good!

Of course.
If everyone would just post their art without wanting/giving comments, we may as well declare this thread a gallery.

I don't think I worded that well sorry! I mean, If I was to not post an image of art and just gave critique to the latest art in the thread would I have to critique through 10 posts? Even if I didn't post any art myself.

No, to my understanding it online applies to those that are posting art :)

im at rehearshal so I can't redline rn sorry ;n;

4dogowner: the ears are too clean. I won't post them on here because some pics are a little bloody, but if you look at cropped PB ears they aren't done cleanly, because they're usually done but the guy who fights them and not a vet.
Nvm everything is fine on it
Becca~Ash: the front legs are too long by like a centimeter the neck should be thicker at the top and the hind leg looks a bit off, though I can't figure out why

Marouk: IDEK anything about pixeling, but it looks very well done! I love the pose!

I need either in general crits, or individual.

Becca! Haven't talked to you in forever! o: Anyway, you've gotten really far with your drawings! As you said, the neck is a little too thin. A little thing I usually keep track of (and which helps me) is to remember where your dog's head ends. I always try to remember to draw a line from the back of the dog's head, since it'll help me make a neck that's not awfully thin.

I'd also suggest drawing the chest fur a little further down, so it connects with where the belly starts. It's important to let the lines flow, so you don't get these hiccups in between. ;) The foreleg closest to us looks a little rubbery where it connects with the rest of the body. I'd suggest studying pictures, they're really helpful! I found one that has a somewhat similiar pose to yours here, where you can see what the forelegs and hindlegs ought to be like. I'd also suggest that you refrain from making a mixed pose between a leap and a laying position. It's hard to pull off, and most wolves/dogs won't assume such a position. :3

Realised it was a long time ago since you posted, but ah well.
Don't have the time to give more critique, sorry guys! D:

Guys, Please can I remind you, Draca has just cleared up some of the rules and it would be best to read it. Remember to critique at least 10 posts above your own ;)

I don't draw my pits as if they're fighting dogs(just normal pets/show dogs. I usually don't draw my pits with cropped ears at all, I just love their natural ears. <3 But when I do I think of it as being done to prevent ear infection or something. XD) but thank you for your comment. C: I did do the ears very quickly so they probably do look rather too clean. xP

Thank you all for your tips, I'm going to work on cleaning up my shading more and possibly attempt a fullbody later on. P:

4Dog: Great head, Good cell shading. If you want to go more detailed style of colour, I would suggest shading single hair by single hair, I tried to find a tutorial but couldn't. If I find one I used to see I will show you. But instead of clumping hair it would be highlighting and shading single hairs depending on where light falls on the body, since short furred dog. Also the inside of the ears have more then just solid colouring, doing the ear canal and ridges will help define the inside of the ear Example

Becca: So cute! You are right about the neck being too thin. The shoulder also is slid back, which is too far back on the body. Here are some photograph examples of laying dogs to show shoulder position Click Click Hope that helps, if I need to explain better ask I struggle with verbal explinations. If I get a chance I can red line it!

PDF: I don't think you meant this but your post came off by sounding that all PB are fighting dogs and would have rough ears. This is far from the truth, though PB are used in dog fights this illegal and highly immoral and I wouldn't suggest it when doing art unless the artist specified this dog was a dog that had been fighting or abused. There are many many clean cropped APBT and other types of PB out there. I dislike cropping in general but 4Dog did clean show lines to the cropping which most dogs should have and do have. I do not think suggesting the dog look, just due to the breed, like a fighting dog when her/his post never mentioned fighting is a good tip for art. I am sorry if that came off as rude I didn't intend it as rude.

@Summer-breeze: The wrist, palm and fingers looks wrong. The palm part is too bulging out. And the hand need not be so much straight. Humans have slightly curved arms.

@Soteria: The upper arms look short in comparison to the lower arms and also the chin needs to be well defined. The lips should be situated a bit above . Otherwise, your drawing looks serene! C:

@ouji★hime: The length of the body looks too short in comparison to the legs, so either shorten up the legs or increase the body length and neck length. Otherwise, its beautiful!

@Sabjebammie: The hind legs look wrong, and dogs don't have ears like that. Also their eyes are situated more closer to the forehead, not so much inside to their side. One more thing is the tail has to start from the same lever as the body not from middle of the butt. ^^

@4dogowner: Love the pitbull. It looks so realistic and the shading is nice too. But might want to define that muzzle part a bit more. All dogs have a distinct line from the end of their noses to their mouth. Exampe : see this cutie?

@Becca~ash: The neck does seem too thin and the hind leg needs to be a little longer. But I think marouk's redline has pretty much cleared it up! ^^

@marouk : The hind leg facing us looks too thin/narrow. Otherwise, love the detail!

@PFDC: In the first pic, the rider's legs seem too small. In the second pic, the horse's face could be a lit bit elongated and its hind legs are bent at an odd angle. Also your species is really cute...that mane is awesome! C:

Ok. I need some redlines, especially in the anatomy of the ear and forehead part (its suppose to be a lioness). Somehow the ears look off to me. :( :
