zanjux;; yeah you're right, that looks better, i'll make sure to fix it. thanks!

---

sabjebammie;; here's your redline c:
some things to point out:
- the tail is an extension of the spine so the back flows directly into the tail.
- generally if the front legs are together then the back legs will be apart for stability
- i made the head and muzzle thinner
- a wolf's chest has a lot of fur, so they're pretty wide.
- you can also look at the tutorials on the front page for more tips (i know the canine vs feline anatomy one has helped me out a ton in the past)

    PFDC;; I love your drawings, but one thing I noticed was that on the second one, the horses ear looked quite long, but I don't know if that's how it actually is, as I'm no expert xD Overall though, they're amazing! <3

@Summer: I really love the colors on your piece! The only thing that I noticed is the fingers are all the
same length.. The middle finger is the longest (at least for me hehe) and the index finger is the next.
The hair's not too bad, but it lacks some movement, it seems very flat and still, you could add a few
strands of hair flowing in the air or something of the sort. I think the eye is a little too far right.. but
overall I think it's a pretty good piece. Really feeling the fall vibe there hehe

@Sab: The body seems skinny and long, perhaps fill him up a little more? :3 Something about the pose
looks a bit stiff.. I'm not sure what to suggest as I don't have the best wolf anatomy haha. Though it looks
like a good piece in progress! Great job!

~~~
For mine I was sketching this idea in my head for awhile now, I need help with hand placement and
what to do with the chest. I haven't drawn much besides a head so this is a lot of changes for me haha.
Redlines would be wonderful, if there's anything I missed please let me know. Thank you in advance too!
The image is a tad big, so apologies ;o; http://i1282.photobucket.com/albums/a53 ... df3422.jpg
@Summer~Breeze: Redline! I agree with Soteria that the hair is a little stiff, and should be a little more relaxed with some strands of hair go in different directions. I kinda changed how she holds the leaf in the redline since I find it a natural pose to hold something like a leaf?
@Soteria: Redline! The line across her face is normally the level where I draw the eyes, and they shouldn't be too far above the nose and the ears. The collarbone should be further apart from each other (I didn't present it well in the redline since I did it really roughly OTL) and I tweaked the hair to make it look kinda floating. I google'd a picture that I find it easier to draw imo so you don't have to worry about the huge gap in her chest, and it also resembles very similar to the small (I'm assuming??) diagram at the right.
I would like some help with the anatomy on a possible adoptable specie I'm working on! I can't help but think the legs are a little too long or it's just my imagination, and I figured I need some other people's feedback in case I may have missed something. uvu
I'm gonna redo the tail and the front paws so I'm aware how awful they look right now lol
The nose and paws look a bit strange... Mostly the lower lip. But other then that, it looks just great! As you said, maybe change the tail a little. Or make the fur a little more fluffy and curly. People seem to like that :)
Don't focus too much on long legs, it's a nw species. If you don't like it, but you can't get it the way you want to, then it just has longer legs ;) I think it looks great :)
Thank you all for the feedback on my dog.
I edited it a little with a rough sketch. Before I spend a while to fix it, how does this look? (prealse ignore any black lines where there are red ones. I will erase the black ones and use the red ones for the new lines :) )
Feel free to redline, post here or to PM me.
Thank you for the comments on my bunny drawings!
I decided to attempt lineless, and wound up mostly trying some sort of odd shading attempt. XD Shading has always been my weak point, so I tried a Shorthaired dog because they seem easier to shade, without all the long fur and such. *shrug* Image Could you guys please help me out and give me tips to improve on the little bit of shading I can do? And possibly tips on Shading fur/the inside of ears/any other parts you can see that I messed up on? XD (I know red/liver/whatevercolorthisis dogs shouldn't have black noses, but I did the nose/eyes etc before the rest of it, and didn't bother changing it after I figured out the base color. XD)
SabjeBammie: I think most of what has already been said is right on key, adding fur would really help, and maybe make the ears a bit larger? C:
Ouji Hime: What caught my attention most were the paws, I think they extend out a bit much. P: Maybe make them shorter?
Soteria: I'm awful with humans, but I think outlining the bust area could be a start. XP
Summer~Breeze: I only noticed that the eye seems a bit too far to the right, and the fingers are all the same length, but if you adjust those it would look excellent! :thumbup:
Forward: The first thing I noticed is the fluff in the ears.. it may be just me but I'm not really liking how that looks. XP I love how you drew the eye, it looks very nice!
Morning/afternoon/evening/night, folks.
It seems that I need to make a few things clear. Duh has mentioned it before, but the message didn't sink in. If your knowledge of anatomy is not better than the person seeking a redline, please do not give a redline. I know it's a very harsh thing to say, but giving someone faulty redlines will not help them. If you don't quite know how to redline something, then don't redline it. You can help the artist by providing photo references if you'd like to help out.
Also, please remember to comment on all work you find within 10 posts of your own (unless you've recently posted). Not every comment has to be a critique. You may as well say something nice. We could all do with some compliments to make it through the day.
Oh, and if you use stock photos as backgrounds for your art, please be nice enough to link to the source. Photographers are artists too, and it would be nice to see them get some credit if you use their photos. If you can't find the original photographer, then simply link to where you've found the photo.
I thought some of you may find this interesting, sorry if someone has shared it before.
@ 4dogowner
Oooh gorgeous art! C: I'd really love to give you a little critisism, but I'm afraid I have no Idea what to say, I love how you managed to get it so neat, lineless is always difficult for me cx
@ ouji★hime
I could only say to perhaps bulk out the chest a little more closer to the belly to match the neck fur a little? It seems to suddenly go in just before the belly. I'm not sure how to explain it ;u; But the species look gorgeous <3 I'll be stalking them aha:)
@ Soteria
Hmmm, beautiful drawing by the way ^-^ I always have the same issue as you do, not knowing which direction to point the arms and stuff haha. I'm not sure, if it was me I would put one fore arm point upwards and the other hand holding just above the elbow. I'm finding it hard to explain.
@ Summer Breeze
Gorgeous colouring! I love the autumn colours and the way the leaf covers half her face, great work! c: The first thing I picked up on was how stiff the hair is, try to loosen your strokes and don't worry if all the hairs aren't parallel cx
@Forward
That art is absolutely gorgeous, I love all the detail and the way the fur rests<3
---------------------------------
Redlines are welcome, I'd love help with anatomy on this request from the other day. Character belongs to Lioness626.
I think the neck is too thin cx
