I wouldn't object to a discord server, but I wouldn't want it to have a bunch of event stuff that you can't get on the forums. I've been part of forum games that go discord and then just leave forum users in the dust. Part of what I like about forum games is that I don't feel this need to be constantly connected and reading every message, and can read though reasonably sized threads that don't get 5223 posts since the last time you logged in. I love this game and don't want it to suddenly become a source of stress.
