Original DS Club | Feel free to join

I'm so jealous of you. x3 I had finally convinced my mom to let me get a DS because it was cool and "all of my friends have it!" I bought the blue one because pretty much everybody had silver back then and I liked the blue better. About a week later, the original-style pink DS came out. I couldn't return mine, because I had already played with it, and I couldn't get the pink one because I had just gotten my DS. I was pretty ticked off. xD I've considered checking eBay, but I have a DS and DS Lite and plan on getting a DSi. I don't want four DS systems with two of them being the same, just different colour variants.

Oh, and the worst part is that I pretty much bought my DS just to get Nintendogs (which was totally worth the $150 that I spent!).

Actually, I don't like pink at all and I always wished there was a purple or a light blue one. In the end I chose pink because silver was too boring and blue seemed too boyish. But I love it regardless of colour. ^^
I didn't want to buy a pack with Nintendogs because I wanted Chihuahua & friends and pink DS came with Dachshund. xD So I payed a bit more, the DS itself was 1000 kunas which would now be around 179$, and the game was another 62$.

Lol, original DS's are indestructable. I had an original when I was what, six years old? Of course I dropped it and all those things, but I particularly remeber throwing it at the ground a thousand times just to see if it would break. I also did that with my first phone. x'3

So basically, the original doesn't have a quality screen or anything, but it works a thousand times better than the DSLite/DSi. >.<

My mom recently bought me a DSi, and don't get me wrong, I like it. The only problem is that it's made of plastic. I don't know exactly what the original ones were made of, but they seem to be made of better material. Of course I can be wrong; I haven't had my original for a while. I tend to like older things, so I'm definitally more in favor of the original DS.

@Angel<3: Exactly o3o I got my DS when I was pretty young, and it's survived a good six years with only a few scratches, and it's been hurled around and stuff. <33

My friend has a DS Lite~ it snapped in half after like three months and she finally gave it to me. She was using this straw to keep it in place, but it fell out by now and I have to be extra careful with it. Anyway, I only use it for trading on Pokemon games. ^-^

i own the DSI and not the original DS, but i still wish *SO MUCH D:* i owned the original. mine broke from age, so my mom bought me the newer model. but i love the older<3 may i join?

Okay, so I was playing my new DS lite and my brother was playing my old DS. Then we went outside onto my concrete driveway and starting playing around and such, I had my DS Lite in my jacket pocket. All of a sudden we bother dropped ours (pretty hard) and my DS lite smashed in half and the Right button came flying off. Lets just say I didnt get another/it wouldnt play. Yeah, I was sad but atleast my DS still worked! <3

Yeah, but there wasn't one 5 years ago (especially in Croatia xD) when I bought mine. Still, it's a nice pastel shade of pink so I'm okay with it. ^^
