I have an honest question. Why can't we talk about trades here? I never really understood that rule. Auctions are okay, but not trades? I really haven't looked though the whole list to see what I have, and if that person is actually still here or is just asking for a pet and then leaving. If you can't find an auction for a pet, why can't you ask here to see if anyone else had seen one? I'm not trying to be obnoxious, rude, or ignorant, but I really don't understand.

Don't worry, I'm happy to answer questions when you're confused. Here's the thing about trades. First of all, Tess has made it pretty clear that she and the staff want all trades in the trading section of the forum. The thread I was on previous to this one was locked because trading was allowed, and though only supposed to be on certain circumstances, the system was abused and the thread became essentially just a trade thread. Because of our experience with this, when we founded the LoEP we decided to have very clear, straightforward, and slightly strict rules to prevent spam and get our members the maximum amount of help they could in auctions. We didn't want to be locked, and we didn't want posts for dreampet help, what the thread was made for, to be lost in a bunch of trade posts. (this is also one of the reasons we're strict on spam)
We have places where it's perfectly acceptable to ask about trades other than the trade section, such as looking through the list and starting trades (why the list is there ) and in our xat room, which follows different rules than the CS forum.

Please remember, we have a rule here. No trades. If it's not dreampet related, it's spam. There's been quite a few posts in only the last few pages asking for trades. If this continues, I'm going to have to start warning people. I don't want to do that. Let's not be that kind of thread.
