i'm curious as to how everyone imagines the gathering clearing. i just see it as a very big, generic-looking clearing surrounded by trees lol. im also thinking the highrock must be real darn huge since i notice a lot of leaders like to climb up there??

my thoughts exactly. except... it always says "down into the clearing", or something along those lines, so in my mind, the clearing is like a crater in the ground, lol.

@deimos: I also imagine it as a clearing, but it as a slight slope and descends into a small "valley." The Leader's Rock is probably several boulders that happen to sit next to each other and climbing over each one is fairly easy. That would also explain how there's literally a section for the deputies (next to one boulder) and a section for the medicine cats (next to a different boulder, maybe on the other side).

I sort of imagined it like how they described four trees in the book. But with a few changes obviously. There's a slope that goes down into a large clearing and there is a large set of boulders, like how Simon described it, and each boulder is for the leaders, deputies and medicine cats. I also thought of it being enclosed by trees.

@Simonpet - i like the idea of several boulders! also the boulders for deputies and medcats, which is probably more respectful then what i imagine: just all bundled up together close by the highrock on the ground lol

from what my bad math skills can see, it appears we have around 76 clans in CAC? so i'm hoping that clearing's big enough to support the number of cats and clans.
