The most important love you could ever experience is the love of a mother. Many mothers would put their lives on the line to save their children and keep them safe. Cider (top) is no exception. From the moment Smithy (bottom) was born in the center of an old apple orchard, Cider's life became about protecting him. When the Orchard became too dangerous to stay, Cider took her son and set off to find a new home, eventually coming across the Clans. When together on patrols, no harm will come to Smithy or any future kits Cider has, Cider will also catch an extra x2 pieces of prey. If Cider is in the nursery when the camp is attacked, no harm will come to the litters inside the nursery. However, the only downside to Cider's unbreakable love for her son is that if Smithy and her are on a patrol together and he is attacked, Cider will die in his place if the mod rolls for a death. All of Cider's powers will cancel out if Smithy and her are separated




I had a very hard time choosing between the different entries that I was sent. Everyone made such compelling stories for Cider and Smithy and I fell in love with each version of these two characters. The following member wrote a really good story for the prompts and I ended up choosing them as the winner!!
