Haven't visited here in a while.

Quick updates: caught the basic and stage 1 of the Johto starters minus Cyndaquil, and also evolved my Omanyte finally. Got one from a 5km egg. I'm at I think 172 caught in my Pokedex now.

For cities...I agree. I live in a rather small town, where you can't even walk in unless you're in the center. It sucks, since I don't have my license so I can't freely play. Not that it matters much since all the spawns here are stuff I have so many of...

At least with Swinub and Murkrow it'll be easy to get their evolutions when generation 4 gets released. I can dream.

Question- what's everyone's best pokémon? You can do cp or iv or both.

I have one, single 100% IV Pokemon! It's... a Ledian. For CP, as it stands, my highest 6 are:

2822 Gyarados

2334 Snorlax

2311 Vaporeon

2064 Flareon

2030 Snorlax

2025 Jolteon

There's some bits of news some of you may have heard already.

Firstly, an update is rolling out. v0.59.1. Here's a source. The biggest thing in this update is that we will now be guaranteed an evolution item from the 7th day streak bonus for spinning Pokestops. There are also a few cosmetic changes, one of which is on the Pokedex. When you view a Pokemon's profile in the Pokedex, there are now two icons for male and female which will be either blank or colored in depending on if you have the Pokemon in that gender. Oddly, it only fills in the icons for Pokemon caught after the release of Gen II. This is going to be very annoying for perfectionists.

Obviously there's already been an APK mine of the update and something very cool was found. I won't spoil it, but if you want you can read about it here.

Lastly, there's another event. From today until March 29th, a select few water type Pokemon are going to have an increase in spawn rates. These Pokemon are Magikarp, Squirtle, Totodile, and their evolutions. Gen II water Pokemon are going to have an increase at water spawn points, so prepare to see more Chinchou and Octillery than Staryu and Goldeen. It's hinted that Lapras might also have an increased spawn rate. Here's the official word on it.

Aw man. I think I've only ever gotten a full 7 days worth of pokestops like 2? 3 times?
Are the items even available in pokestops otherwise? I have still never seen a single one, and my only recent 7 day bonus did not get me an item.

Yeah they're still available from random spins. I don't get 7 day streaks often either. I only have one item so far, a King's Rock. I can't choose between evolving Slopoke or Poliwhirl, so I won't use it until I have a second one.

oh my! you guys have such high cp pokémon, only three of mine are just over 2000.

Oh boy, I'm having a good start of this event.

//just as I typed that, a Remoraid spawned in my house.

I caught 7 Magikarp, 3 Omanyte, a Qwilfish (which I didn't have yet!), 4 Chinchou, my first several Remoraid, 2 Mantine, which I didn't have yet either, but I wish I had spent just a couple more minutes walking. Cause now I have 2 eggs at 9.8km haha. And I don't have to leave the house until tuesday.

I wish for once they'd have an event that increases dratini spawns. I'm never going to get that Dragonite at this rate.

edit: I'm going to screech if I hatch another pineco. Please no more. I can almost evolve my second one. Pls no. Anything else. Snorlax, dratini, idk what is in the 10km eggs now. Anythign that I dont have yet pls.

edit2: does anyone have a reliable egg chart?? Literally every one I find online is saying something different. And some even say that a 10km egg has a 1/4 chance of hatching into dratini, which I call crap.

Of all the Pokémon I ever caught, there was never a 100% IV one. I have 97 at the most, several 95s and that's it.
CP wise I don't level them up atm so my highest one is still only a Vaporeon with 2700 CP and then a Gyarados with 2500 CP.
Reason for not leveling them up is because both don't have the best movesets for arenas, I first want to evolve a high-IV one with the best moveset. ^^;

Speaking of the new event, I LOVE IT!
Caught enough Chinchou and Omanytes so that I now have enough candy to evolve both of them! =D

Caught two Mantine, I didn't own it yet, and already 12 Magikarps - many of them with an additional berry for more candies.

Fun fact: because of the water type event I got the gold medals of fairy and electric thanks to Marill and Chinchou. XD
Only need to catch four more Ground types (*looks at Wooper*) to get gold there too.

Wow, my top Pokemon are all powered up, so it's still really impressive that you have that Vaporeon and Gyarados. You're making a smart move. I just didn't have the patience hehe.
