I think it's dumb not to include Kopa at all, like, not even mention him. They should have had a little part where he died or something. Not just leave him in the dust.

Kopa isn't recognized as an official Disney character, technically speaking. That's why he's not in the movies.

There is only fan theories as to what happened to him. Aside from the few books he was in, he isn't mentioned anywhere else.

The producers never expected to make a sequel, so the cub at the end was not planned to appear again. I assume, because the books weren't very well known, the writers were not aware of them, or Kopa, when the sequel went into production. c:

Other semi-cannon characters include Tama, Tojo, Malka, Chaka, Chumbi, Ni, Ahadi, Uru, Afua, Asante (Zira, because she wasn't on the first movie), Biba, King Joe, Ashtaa, Babu, Babu (Mandril), Bahati, Beba, Belee, Boga, Boma, Cheetah, Cheeka, Chewa, Choyo, Cibo, Crocodile, Dalila, Darann, Fisi, Jambo and Kwaheri.

I thought everyone new about Kopa because of the books and comics,he is real but they didn't include him in the movies

I didn't know about Kopa until I joined this fanclub and looked him up. You guys were talking about him so I grew curious and just looked him up. I read a few of the books about him after that.
