What's the highest CP second gen pokemon anyone here has?
Mine's an Espeon with 1830 CP that I haven't powered up because I got a bit unlucky with the moveset, I got Zen Headbutt/Psybeam

I feel like every time I have no Pokeballs left the game just spawns rare Pokémon
Yesterday while I was walking down a small path in the park I used my last Pokeball on a Psyduck, they are pretty rare where I live so that's why I caught it... it had a Cp 104, iwhich I guess is better than nothing.. while on the walk back I saw a Magikarp (which was most likely a Ditto cause there was no water or a Magikarp on the sightings) a pretty decent Squirtle, and.. an ivysaur..

you do get 6 candies from pokémon when you use a pinap berry. when our first catch it, i know it's says five, but once you hit okay, and it takes you to the pokémons panel/ information page, it says +6 candies in the top right corner, as well as any stardust you've collected.

Will test it further.

For now the pinap berry I used on the ladybug evolution first said +5 candy and then changed to +9. Hit okay, but didn't focus on the Pokemons page itself.

I wouldn't say Ditto to every Magikarp that spawns away from water. I never got a Ditto from a Magikarp so far and they're spawning in parks without water or the city for me.

So I never thought there was anything interesting in terms of Pokemon Go in the area where I live. I live on a main road leading into a city, so I'm on the outer edge of the outskirts. The only life near me is a collection of five pokestops and two gyms in a mental institute a little down the road. I never go there because A. it's creepy, B. both gyms are level 10 and dominated by Team Mystic cheaters (I posted evidence of that earlier), and C. I only ever see common Pokemon on my nearby list at those stops, so it doesn't feel worth it to me.

Today I had to get a bus to the city. My closest bus stop is just past the entrance to the mental institute, where one of the pokestops is. When I got on the bus, I noticed there was a Sandshrew at the stop by the entrace, which is funny because I've seen a Sandshrew at that stop a few days ago, but I thought it was one of those rare once off spawns. On my way back from the city, there were two Sandshrew there. So, apparently that Pokestop I've been ignoring is a Sandshrew spawner! Which is great because I only needed two more to get my first Sandslash, so that's one dex entry I got to knock off the list today.

Also, while I was waiting at the bus stop, I noticed there was a Charmander in the mental institute. Again, I thought it was a once off thing. Again, on my way back, I saw another Charmander. (These weren't affiliated with pokestops, they were "sightings", so I never saw them from my house. When I'm at my house I pick up on "Nearby" Pokemon that are actually inaccessible from where I live, so I never get to see Sightings from there.

So TIL my local mental institute is a low key nest. I spent around an hour there grinding enough Charmander candies to FINALLY evolve my buddy into a Charizard, so I got that done today too. :')

I'm choosing not to add it to the Global Nest Atlas because a lot of elderly demented people live there and they appreciate minimal traffic and noise from us "youngsters". P:

I've been walking a Charmander for months haha... Now I've buddied up with Clefairy. If I walk 4k I'll be able to get my first Clefable!

So I guess what you can learn from this is never just go by what you see on the Nearby list. Always do a little exploring.

Got off my bus 2 stops early today to get a teddiursa :') Also managed to catch a magikarp and machop while walking the rest of the way. Getting close to that machamp (76/100).

On my way home I saw a silhouette right on the road the bus uses. And I almost passed by the pokestop with nothing spawning and then.. My first 2gen starter, and it's my absolute least favorite of the bunch :') A croconaw. Also got my first chinchou and aipom, and a couple days ago I got my first stantler (don't remember if I mentioned that yet).

My strongest 2nd gen 'mon so far is my 1583 Crobat, followed by my 1512 Piloswine and 1010 Murkrow.

Anyone else really love the way murkrow moves when you're catching it? It almost looks hypnotizing, probably my favorite animation of the entire game so far.

Yes! I love when it opens it's beak to kaw while it's swaying it's head around. It doesn't do that in the profile screen. Murkrow probably has the best animation of all the sprites so far.

I caught a female wobbuffet and a cp1009 sudowoodo on the bus ride home! Definitely worth my phone being on 29% ^^;
