I got my brother to try reading Warriors and he really go into it, he's just started the new prophecy. The only problem is I'm super protective over my books and it really annoys me when he bends a corner of the cover or something.

Well, for starters, there are a few things wrong with some warriors couples-

THE AGE GAP! (Pinestar and Leopardfoot- he was at least forty years in cat age older than her)

Some cats mates are related, and some are even siblings.


Overall, I love the series but maybe the Erin Hunters could switch some things...

The related thing is kind of hard to avoid, since by now pretty much everyone in a clan is related in some way by now, although the sibling thing does bother me. Then again it's easy to make mistakes like that with so many authors and characters. On the other point I actually hate when people complain about the age gaps within the series- as long as both cats are fully grown warriors, which Leopardfoot and Pinestar are, I don't see any real problems. The only exception to this being ThistlexSpotted, but everything about Spottedleaf's Heart is just total garbage so eh.

They don't groom themselves. They don't arch their back when angered. They don't hiss when angered either. The cats in warriors still act a lot like cats so age gaps don't mean anything to them as long as they're both adults.

It's a lil different tho because it's playing
to something we see in humans and not
cats. the male is the older one, and the
female is younger. if it truly were about
cats being cats, don't you think there'd
be at least one paring of an older molly
with a much younger tom? they aren't
being written like cats, they're being
written like people, and then when you
throw in it being targeted for children,
you have to question what messages are
they putting out to the kids. normalizing
age gaps like that with only older men
and younger women could result in
pedophilia if the girls think it's normal. I
personally had crushes on 35 year old
women when I was 15 and that was with
out a book hinting that it was natural and
perfectly fine. what might happen for kids
that do think that?
