I'm soooo late to the party right now! On Valentine's Day I spent time with my significant other, for like the whole day and he isn't really into The Walking Dead so we spent time outside instead. I'm almost at the certain time where you're allowed to talk about the episode with saying "spoiler" or hiding it, but if you still haven't watched the episode yet I suggest not reading this now. (I watched the episode online, still great quality as well). xD
Was I the only one annoyed when Rosita told Eugene to stay behind, not when Jessie told Sam to stay behind, but unfortunately it did not go well, I think Eugene is fine and he has been through a lot and has been also forced by Rosita a lot. He can stay behind if he wants, but I guess she was just checking up on him. I'm glad he's getting better at things!
I read everyone's replies, and I do have to agree with most of the opinions. This episode was a huge shock, and honestly everything came out too quickly tbh. I wasn't expecting Carl to lose his eye this episode, or at all. I guess I was one of those people who just couldn't picture it being that realistic? Plus he is a child actor, so I didn't know about all that jazz but it turned out pretty okay. But I was right that it was gonna turn out more creepy and gore-y. eh? The huge chain when the whole family died kinda blew me away, like I was expecting maybe they keep one like Jessie and let the torture come in but then eventually kill her off? xD Like she could have been lost in thought like what Sam kept doing, but she was snapped back into reality and then they could have all made it out. That would have probably stop all the fan's hearts beat fast, like a little ahhhh moment. There was too much oh no! moment going on that I couldn't stop holding my breath at.
I was impressed by Daryl's badassness, at the beginning especially when he pulled out that freaking rocket launcher I was like, yup! Hell's going down! But it was disappointing that he still didn't get his motorcycle or crossbow back. He's a little more of a target now, but obviously he's not useless but some fans can't see a Daryl without his crossbow. But maybe one day instead of being Daryl the guy with the crossbow, he'll be Daryl the badass with the giant rocket launcher? Lol. I'll miss Sam's family, and I feel like this is going to keep happening to Rick until he realizes, nope! I'm just not ready for a relationship right now, I guess that's what they're doing to me. But I'm glad his family is alright, and that the town stepped in to help. Ron was also annoying when he was about to kill Carl, back then I thought it was one of those 'Glenn and Nicholas' moments, But I guess I was wrong. But then Michonne came in, did what she gotta do, and my train of thought stopped. xD
There were a lot of flashy scenes and fast pauses, which they haven't done in a while which is cool. I really liked Gabriel's part in the episode though, with his speech and all and that he finally has hope in the place and maybe won't try to kill the group off? I mean, he can try but he definitely won't make it that far. I'm glad Denise is alright, her shaky behavior was kinda worrying me but it seemed like everyone did an okay job, a few injuries here and there especially with Carl but it'll be like Brian but instead he'll make it out alive.
