Daily Prehistoric Creature Fact #11: The first snakes were at least semi-aquatic. They also retained their hind limbs. Some modern snakes still have the remnants of their limbs. They are known as pelvic spurs and appear as small claws at the base of the tail.

Daily Prehistoric Creature Fact #12: When it was discovered, Australovenator was believed to be a close relative of Allosaurus. It is now known it is what is known as a Megaraptorid. Megaraptorids are a taxonomic mystery and it is not entirely known what group of Theropods they are related to.

Daily Prehistoric Creature Fact #14: Big Al was a specimen of Allosaurus. He has around 17 different injuries and other malformations on his body, more than any other dinosaur. The most well-known is a lump on the bone of his middle toe. This is the only one showing no signs of healing, so it like is what, sadly, killed him or he died shortly after obtaining the injury.
