Well Flitter and I had a very successful shopping trip today. Three out of the four stores we went to had what we wanted, or something close to what we wanted.
We tried going to walmart to get the MLP posters, but unfortunately they did not have any and no one had heard of them. Here is a transcript of my conversation with a very old customer service woman who scared the heck out of me. Let me note, Flitter and I were already scared due to the fact that neither of us ever goes to walmart and the whole store was big, full of crud, scary and very easy to get lost in. Not to mention I hate asking employees for things. Anyways, the conversation went something like this:
[Twi walks up to the customer service counter, Flitter goes to smell the air fresheners]
Twi: Uh, hello?
Customer Service Woman {CSW}: Uh, yes, what can I help you with.
Twi: Uh, I've been hearing on the internet that walmarts are giving out free my little pony posters and I, uh, was wondering if you had any...
CSW: Well, I don't know, I've never heard of that, I'll call and ask.
Twi: Uh, okay...
[CSW picks up her service phone]
Twi: Flitter, get over here! If you want to smell one of those, go to the girl's locker room, they had them there.
Flitter: They did?
Twi: Yeah, and I poked one once.
Flitter: Does it feel squishy?
[goes back to air fresheners]
CSW: [on the phone, this is her third call or something by this point] Have you ever heard of some my little pony posters? No. Okay. [call is repeated twice more]
Twi: Flitter, come over here!
CSW: [pulls over other customer service guy] Have you ever heard of free my little pony posters?
Guy: No, I haven't.
CSW: [to me] Well no one seems to have heard of them.
Twi: Oh, okay then. Thanks anyways. [to Flitter] Come on Flitter, let's go.
Any ways, after that we went to Toys R Us. I found all three sets of the themed blind bags and I started jumping around and freaking out. I didn't find the brony set or Zecora, but I'll check for them another time. I'm really happy that I got those sets though, I though! *squee*
After that we went to Marshall's and I found the Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom at the fair pack for $8. If you guys live near a Marshell's, look in their toy section frequently because there's often really cheap MLP stuff. Not much stuff, but some.
We went to Micheal's after that, where I picked up some white and yellow paint and some colored pencils. I'm thrilled to finally have white paint again because I'm going to be making my spare Rainbow Dash in to a Colgate.
Anyways, it was a great day of shopping! Oh, and thank you very much to Atome for the wonderful picture of Twi in my signature!
