I'm scared of it having a pg/ u rating and all the new fans being 7 year olds...
Yeah it'll be better if they do make it for a slightly older audience

Especially if the movies become well known. Then it'll turn into a "oh look, you're reading kids books!" Type of thing when people see me reading them.

I mean, they'll probably have it PG-rated, because I don't think many adults would go to see a movie about fighting cats lol. But I could see them either 1. having the fighting and violence but taking out all the blood and gore (like the Guardians of Ga'Hoole movie) or 2. keeping it in but cutting out a lot of it.

If it's not for kids, then a lot of angry parents will be mad. The same thing happened with Deadpool ("Oh! It's a superhero movie! It's for kids!") and Bad Santa ("Oh! It has a santa! It's for kids!"). The safest option would be making it for kids and taking out the gore.
back on cs after being gone for four years!

It's not the producers' fault that the parents went to see those movies; it's the parents' fault. I think they shouldn't take out the gore and just give it a PG-13 rating or something.

@double agent I agree, especially since both movies are rated R.
The only problem with the PG-13 rating is that most Warriors readers are in elementary/middle school, and if the movie had that rating then some parents may not take their kids to see the movie, while some people who are old enough to watch the movie may not be interested because it's about cats. I think it should be rated PG, but I honestly don't know what they should do about the gore besides my ideas above.

the issue i have with it is cats like Brightheart. Everyone loves her. I love her character. If she was removed there would be riots. But how do they animate that without PETA screeching at them, or giving kids nightmares? With normal 2d animation its easy to draw. But CGI.. it looks too real. I feel like it might tramatize younger kids..
Also.. we'll get hoards of 6-9 year old fans and then they'll read the books and probably be scarred for life due to the amount of violence..
