Anyone know how to get a 1.7 multiplayer server to work in 1.8?

I cant help with that,i never made one.but i love this Cobaltium server,im living in a npc village with my friends.

I'm quite happy with 1.8 at this point for one major reason now. :DDDD
Incredibly close to my original spawn point was an NPC village that had been abandoned obviously, and I took it over, so now I leave in a town, and use every single house...
I also managed to build a tall fence around it, so no monsters can get in. ^^

On a side note, has anyone else experienced the bed glitch? If you place the bed next to a one block thick wall that it level to the ground, a monster will spawn in your room and wake you... >_> Took me a while to figure it out, had to look it up.

Tale of the Island of Coal
So one day, my friends, I was exploring when I found an island made out of rock. A small amount of digging revealed coal. A LOT of coal. In fact, so much that I reckon 2/3 of the island was made out of coal. (it was a fairly small island with a bit of clay and a bit of sand but mostly stone and coal)
I dug... and dug... and dug... until I had about three stacks of 64 coal. I'm not kidding.
And then I fell into lava.
That is the most coal I have ever found... even more than when I went spelunking.
I was so disappointed at my death at Coal Island I deleted that world and started again.

P.S. If you want to spawn near an NPC village use the spawn 'gimmeabreak'. It's quite a decent world altogether.
Although none of the picturesque floaty islands I'm into.

YAY for coal! I always feel way happier on finding coal than I should :p

First cave I went down since 1.8 it was a little bit eerie to find all the abandoned mine shafts and that :p but then my scavenger instinct kicked in and I was all "OMG FREE FENCE POSTS! AND PIECES OF TRACK"
