Man this is gonna sounds really bad, but I'm kinda excited so many people are on lockdown because on the 20th I can just go grab the game from the store in town and not expect so many people to be in hoards going for it...

I mean I'm just trying to look at the positives even though this thought is kind of selfish, really I'm just trying to keep calm ahah

My bfs mom’s copy is physical but we aren’t picking it up for days, maybe even a week after release. If we pull up to the store and still deem it not safe we’ll cancel and get it at a later date.

^ I normally do to but digital is the safest way to go at the moment. You can always archive games to make room for animal crossing and get an SD card when it’s safe again.


Me and my SO are going to try and cancel the preorder for his mom. We’ll try and have it shipped or something idk. It’s not super bad in my area yet as far as we know but I’d still feel more comfortable avoiding it if we can. The only issue is we’d get store credit if we cancel over phone, which would be fine if he remembered his password. =_=

Edit: customer support hung up on him twice and he doesn’t remember what email he used for the account so he can’t fix it himself. We’re never preordering that early or shopping at GS ever again, this sucks. We’ll have to go in the store to switch to digital or pick up physical so it literally doesn’t mater which we do at this point. I guess we’ll just wait days to weeks after release day to pick it up like we originally planned.

Or not? Honestly I don’t know what to do.

My dad is going to drop by the store on friday, hopefully it'll be fine. From what I know, my state only has 3? cases

The thing to remember though is that we aren’t really testing like we should in the US and someone might not even show signs but still be contagious. We probably have way more cases that we don’t know about. If you go; try avoiding the first day (this will be the busiest day), don’t get too close to someone else, and wipe down the game and use hand sanitizers as soon as you can. Plus there’s the whole GameStop thing where some workers have come forward and said that their managers are trying to get them to stay even when they’re showing signs, aren’t providing cleaning supplies like they said, ect. Anyway I’m done with GameStop after this. I’d outright cancel and get my money back if it didn’t involve going in the store and showing our ids. >_>


I’m so glad tonight will be the last night without AC. I need some stress relief after all of this mess.

Tonight there will be an update that people with digital copies can predownload before release. Don’t forget to download that if you want to play as soon as the digital copies unlock.

I ordered physical copy from Amazon but since they delayed the shipping, I cancelled it and bought digital. Bright side is I get to play it when I get off work at 9pm because I live in PST.

Also if anyone saw my past post, I did manage to ore order the ac switch and I had the old model of switch so this one lasts much longer.

Oh, I saw some mentions of ac journals and I started mine last night! I guess it's going to end up more of a scrap book but it's still super fun.
